Having raised an artistic child born with perspective,
while I alas do not has been a conundrum for 25 years,
now I have the time and space to attempt and hopefully achieve perspective.
While this book was first published in 1939 none of the contents is dated,
filled with simple explanations, easy instructions and basic exercises I believe I can do it :-)

Wow, Ernest Ralph Norling explains 'perspective' with so simple examples that you can easily apply in real life. This book clears very basic topics like vanishing point, relationship of eye level to perspective, 1& 2 point perspective, shadows, interiors etc. Actually their are many advance books on this topic but for beginners and artists, has to read this atleast once.

It was pretty much your average introduction to perspective; not horrible, not wonderful, a little dated in presentation. For a beginner I would recommend Dubosque's "Draw 3-D" or the more helpful "Perspective Without Pain" instead.

This was a great read into Perspective drawing. It was a bit of a refresher of what I had learned in high school art classes.

I didn't realize how old this was when I ordered it, but it taught me a hell of a lot more about perspective than the art classes i paid for and for far less money so if it ain't broke am i right

Yikes, realized I'm not one to draw with a ruler.

Study the railroad track, it will furnish the findamentals of perspective.
Learn to draw a brick, you will then have working knowledge of perspective.
Draw a whole city by drawing the arrangment of bricks.
Learn to draw a cylinder and your knowledge of drawing has been greatly broadend.
Eye level! Vanishing Pint A! Vanishing Point B!

I know it's valuable, but mechanical drawing just hinders me.
Sorry, Ernest R. Norling.

Simply written, natural progression in topics and exercises, a fully accomplished, cheap, one-step shop for anyone interested in trying to get their head around perspective in construction and art. Dropping $10 on this to comprehensively approach a consistently understudied aspect for art beginners is a solid investment.
