A quick, funny and very enjoyable read. Great drawings also in this book. Roald Dahl is one of the great storytellers of all time. Also great for grown ups.

“Mr. Fox was the good guy, the farmers were the bad guys because they wanted to kill him. He was just trying to live. If I was a farmer I would just let him live because you know I care about animals. I want them to be happy. I would make a fox farm.”

یه منطق رابین هودی‌ای پشتش بود، که "چون‌ داریم از آدمای بد دزدی میکنیم، خیلیم کار درستی میکنیم" که من نمیپسندم. ولی همچنان حال و هوای کتابای رولد دال عزیزو داشت و وایب مثبتی میداد و آهنگین بود^-^ + یه آدیوبوک خیلی خوب!

This book encourages stealing, underage drinking, and living in an underground bunker so you never have to face sunlight again. Recommended!

Fantastic Mr Fox is a children's novel written by British author Roald Dahl. It was published in 1970. The story revolves around an anthropomorphic, tricky, and clever fox named Mr. Fox who lives underground beside a tree with his wife and four children. In order to feed his family, he makes night visits to farms owned by three wicked, rude, cruel and dim-witted farmers named Boggis, Bunce and Bean and snatches away the livestock available on each man's farm. Tired of being outsmarted by Mr. Fox, the farmers devise a plan to ambush him as he leaves his burrow, but they succeed only in shooting off his tail. The farmers then dig up the Foxes' burrow using spades and then excavators. The Foxes manage to escape by burrowing further beneath the earth to safety. The trio of farmers are ridiculed for their persistence but they refuse to give up and vow not to return to their farms until they have caught Mr. Fox. They then decide to surround Mr. Fox's hole and wait until he is hungry enough to come out. Este libro se me hizo algo indiferente, pensé que me gustaría más por la adaptación, pero no fue así. Sé que es un libro para niños, pero otros del autor me han provocado más emociones.

Mr. Fox se dedica a robar pollos a los tres grajeros más importantes, por eso cuando estos decidan vengarse y atraparlo a toda costa, tendrá que usar todo su ingenio para salvarse y a su familia.

Siento que este libro fue extraño. Mr. Fox robaba a los granjeros y estos intentan atraparlo, entonces él y su familia cavan y cavan. Básicamente, esa fue la solución a todo; cavar. Y quizá es porque soy adulta, pero una parte de mí se preguntó, ¿por qué no simplemente cavan para salir por otro lado y buscan un nuevo hogar?

No es que los libros de Dahl sean especialmente moralistas, pero suelo sentir que van a un punto, pero acá solo sentí que dio vueltas. Quizá algo con el aprender a dejar ir, o saber cuándo rendirse, podría ser. Pero se me hizo bastante indiferente, creo que si no fuera por la adaptación, sería el tipo de libro que olvidaría antes de darme cuenta.

No tengo mucho más que decir de Fantastic Mr Fox, fue una historia entretenida sobre un zorro y los granjeros que intentaban atraparlo, pero que no pareció llegar a ningún lugar y con un final que dejó un gusto extraño.

Probablemente el mejor libro que leí en mi infancia.

Novela de la que no lograba acordarme del título hasta que me topé por accidente con su película en streaming. La premisa es sencilla, tres granjeros se unen para acabar con el zorro que les ha estado robando. Este, en vez de entregarse, opta por escapar encontrando un montón de aliados, todos animales, en el camino que se unirán a su causa contra los granjeros.

Novela muy entretenida, fácil de leer y aunque ciertamente el autor hace que nos pongamos de parte de un zorro bribón no podemos negar que al personaje es encantador, astuto y muy muy divertido. Por supuesto acá no encontrarás discursos moralistas como gran parte de los libros para niños. Aunque sí una lección ligera de anteponer siempre la inteligencia por sobre la fuerza y algo de trabajo en equipo tambien, aunque todo esto esta equilibrado de manera perfecta, sin saturar la historia, lo que se agradece un montón pues el resto de la historia es diversión pura. Los dibujos que acompañan el libro son un 10 de 10 también y su pelicula es muy buena.

I can't read this without seeing Wes Anderson's adorable stop-motion film in my head. Which makes it even better. Fantastic indeed.

Another enjoyable Roald Dahl book! He's easily one of my favourite authors. I do have to say though, that this is one of those cases where I prefer the film version -- I adore Wes Anderson, and I loved his take on this story.
