Entertaining, a good sequel. Some previous stories told from a different perspective. Should be read after reading the other two books in the series for a full appreciation of the continuing story of the Ya Yas.

This fails to live up to The Divine Secrets in any way. The YaYas barely figure into this story at all, and I found it to be incredibly all over the place.

Ya-Yas in Bollom: A Novel ( The Ya- Ya Series Book )

I thoroughly enjoyed this book; however it wasn't as good as the first two Ya- Ya books that I've read. I felt that the story wasn't as clear as the first two books. Perhaps, this is one of these stories that you have to read more than once to understand it.

Ok, I think it would get a different rating if I wasn't already in love with these characters. But I am, so...

Rebecca Wells did it again with “Ya-Yas in Bloom”. I was instantly transported back in time with the Ya-Yas and gained an even greater understanding of who they were and why they were the way they were. This was a lovely book to get lost in as this special group of friends and all of their off-spring gathered together to celebrate so many special experiences throughout their lives. This is another great Ya-Ya tale that will leave you longing for such a special group of friends.

I was expecting it to be like the movie and yet was surprised when it was a short story set. I liked that I got to learn about the yayas, the petites and the tres petites. They were good stories and a good size to read one of the shorts a night.

Not as good as the first Ya-Yas but good just the same.

just learned there was a third book!

Loved original YaYa Sisters and LittleAltars, but never knew about book 3. Don’t know how I missed it, but got it on a one day deal , sat down and started reading right to the end. Delightful to revisit the YaYas and add new stories with the next generation.

Listening to Judith Ivey performing these characters is as good as a Broadway show. I laughed, I cried, I held my breath and pulled the car over so I could listen. The book itself is really just a bunch of unconnected character sketches that jump around in time, with no plot and no consistent perspectives. I get the feeling that it was published directly from the author's notebook, where she had written back stories on her characters and their children that never made it into the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. So I think the audio version actually adds something that makes me keep listening when I'm not sure I would have kept reading.

A good second story collection to follow the Ya-Ya tradition. These stories delve more into the Petite Ya-Yas, their children. These are less engaging as the previous books as the stories form a very specific arch that feels a little forced at times and wraps up in a neat Christmas package. Not as spell-binding as the other books, but still a fun continuation of the Ya-Yas.

It’s been years since I read Divine Secrets and Little Altars so this was a cozy/nostalgic reunion. Like Little Altars, this is also a book of short stories and this time none are by Sidalee but her siblings and nieces and nephews. I fell in love with Baylor. What a sweet brother.
