This Stephanie Plum mystery finds the bounty hunting heroine trying to bring in Maxine, an elusive, bail skipping waitress. Stephanie gets into her usual amount of trouble with help from her ex-hooker friend, Lula, and a new friend, transvestite, Sally Sweet. The book is just as engaging and humerous as the previous Stephanie Plum adventures, and this book has the added bonus of seeing things heat up between the heroine and Joe Morelli when Stephanie stays with the tempting cop after her apartment is destroyed.

This is one of my favorites in the Plum series. Very funny but action packed. Easy to pick back up if you have to put down. I love this series and can't wait to start the next one!

this book as a bit of a history with me the last one i read was in (2015) how do i know this? i keep track on how many books i read per year i've done that for years and the only ones that i am aware of off the top of my head are the ones from (2015) to (2023) so i know anyways, i started this one back than or maybe a year later? i can't remember i do not remember when i stopped but i lost interest cause it took me forever to get into it.

anyways, fast forward to Lockdown in (2020) or did i start this in (2021) either one anyways i had no idea where the hell i was so i said fuck it and started it over from scratch i got further that time and stopped on page 106. on whim for whatever reason i got into the mood to pick this up again and so i started that chapter over and thankfully i was able to finish the book in like i think a week? or close it anyways. it was a good book i think the last one was a lot better but this one had it's moments too. of course it being so long ago when i started it over i had forgotten really everything that did happen before the chapter i started over which i think was chapter 6.

so far the worst one is the 1st book for those who want to start with the series start with that one of course but i had a hard time reading that one cause i wanted to read the ones after that i was told were better and they were right. my apologies on my ramblings this book is about Ms. Plum who has to go after a woman who starts out just ignoring her court date and it turns out a lot about fake money. it got a bit confusing for awhile but it was a decent book

I don’t have anything new to say about this series. Every sequel is funnier than the last.

But with this fourth book we finally see a turning point in Steph and Joe’s relationship. YAAAASS FINALLYYYYY.
What happens next is HILARIOUS: neither of them say anything but somehow Joe’s family think they live together, then that Steph is pregnant, then that they are getting married, and lastly that they’re already married. Obviously, as if it weren’t enough, the news circulate to the entire Trenton city.
I loved that hahaha

2019 An author's work: Janet Evanovich
Monthly Challenges - March: Mysterious March

To cry with laughter, I think it's the funniest book in the series so far.

4 Stars. the Plum stories are very solid. A little humor and mystery guaranteed through the first four books. Plum and company are fun, Morelli is entertaining. Looking forward to the next one.

This is a humor/cozy mystery/chick-lit, and this is the 4th book in the Stephanie Plum series. I have listen to this whole series on audiobooks, and the narrator of the audiobooks does a great job on this book. All the books in this series will make you laugh so much, and I will say the way to read these books is by audiobooks. All the characters are so fun and developed. I love this series so much. Stephanie Plum always gets into big messes, and she will make you laugh so much. (*)

n  "I want to shoot him," Sally said. "Nobody'll tell, right?"
"No fair," Lula said. "I want to shoot him."
"Okay," Grandma said. "On the count of three, we'll all shoot him.”

Can't remember when was the last time I watched a TV show, because every time I think about doing it, I realize I actually want to get back to this series.
I swear they're like an amazing Netflix show, just that instead of episode after episode, I'm binging book sequels.
So glad there's like 64839272519204728 of them left.

Two things I learned from this book...everyone in the Burg carries a gun and the women of the Burg seem to be carrying the biggest guns. Secondly, my life is completely boring compared to Stephanie Plum.

In Four to Score we can add yet another blown up car to Stephanie's list not to mention her apartment which is torched which leads her right into the arms of Morelli. Add a Grandma Bella and a Grandma Mazur to the story and you've got yourself one heck of a book...I finished this book and kept right on going with High Five.

Another great book by Evanovich!!
