This was a good quick read. It is also the first book I have read by Janet. I really liked how the characters connected and jumped right in to take care of the baby. I loved the pretend family. I was a little frustrated with Pat and that he would not just hurry up and marry Meg. I liked the ending of the book as well.

I read this for my book club. I never have liked romances but I really like Janet Evanovich. I read this and I still don’t like romances. I’ll stick to the Stephanie Plum stories.

Very cheesy and seemed unrealistic to me…did have some funny parts, but not my cup of tea.

This was wacky and bizarre. I thought for some reason this was new but it was published in 1988. My bad. It was good in flashes and absolutely bananas in others. 2.5 to 3 stars.

I am a fan of Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, and have read some of the spin-offs as well, but this is the first of her romances I have read (I think). It's a quick light read with a bit of humor. I wouldn't say it's super realistic, or great literature, but it was a pleasant enough way to spend a little time.

I really like the Stephanie Plum series so thought I would give this book a try. I thought this one was very hokey and predictiable. Had I not been stuck in my car listening to it on CD, I wouldn't have finished it. It was painful.

This book took me a couple hours to read, it was fun, light, and easy. The story itself is nothing exciting or new, some interactions seem to be forced, but others seem right on. The interactions with the baby seem especially forced. But if you're looking for something to keep you entertained for a couple hours, and you want that warm fuzzy feeling, pick it up and check it out.

Read this one because I am an Evanovich fan, but I can also see why it didn't stay in print long the first time, it's kind of silly. But if you like Evanovich, and don't expect much, you should be fine. It's cute.

I don't know how I forced myself to finish this book.

Megan was the worst protagonist I've read in an adult novel, okay Anastasia(FSoG) is #1 but Megan is #2. She acted like a whiny preteen. Pat was just as bad. None of the characters were likable, I was sitting, waiting the story to get better but it never did. This really has me worried about Evanovich's other works, I'm not sure I want to read them if they're anything like this book.

Evanovich has templates that she uses when she writes, which isn't a big deal because they're fun templates. However, that was the only thing this book had going for it.

This was the November selection for the book club I joined. My first thoughts after completing chapter one, “what in the terrible Hallmark movie is this crap?” The entirety of this book was completely unrealistic. Like, who on earth would be ok with a baby being dumped at a doctor’s house with a total stranger? On top of child abandonment, two strangers apparently are perfectly fine with playing house with a strangers baby and then their families see nothing wrong with this entire situation. They are in fact are encouraging them. Let’s not forget to mention that their families start planning their wedding and they’ve only known each other maybe a week. I cringed throughout this entire book. What a joke.
