It's kind of annoying how there are only extracts and not the whole books though. I will never know the end to some of those stories!

Dahl was had a brilliant mind when it came to creativity. His Poetry is so funny. Well worth the read.

I actually would have preferred fewer long excerpts and a more varied collection, but I still love this and it got me to add a lot of his work that I don't think I ever read (or don't remember reading) to my reading list.

It didn't contain complete stories as I thought it would but it was still great. Roald Dahl is a genius.

I love Roald Dahl. I especially love the books on tape that he reads himself. It adds a little something special when you hear his voice reading the parts the way you know he intended. My kids love it as well.

Read some of it on Anne's floor, and finished it in the Yale library.

My 7 year old daughter & I are thoroughly enjoying this book, we are both Dahl book virgins though familiar with his work through the several movie adaptations!! He is clever, witty & a tad bit cheeky and we really love his take on the classics!!!

this book is about many favored books. each "book" in it is realy a chapter from the book that gets you interested in the real book.

Excellent books for fans of Dahl.

Lots of fun little poems, little snippets from his life.

Also excerpts from many of his books, and wonderful illustrations.

I think it's a book for a fan to have on the coffee table, but you are better buying the actual books.

My inlaws (ages 9 and 10) have been reading Mr. Dahl's stories. I've been finishing each story in less than hour. I love the short snippets of all things Roald Dahl. I had now clue Ralph Steadman had some sketches inspired by him.
