These books all blended together in my head over the past years, but this installment is again a nice one, of which I forgot quite a bit! I might be cliché but I really liked some of the life-changing things that happened.

While I still really loved this book, I did see some flaws in it. There are a handful of continuity issues, which stood out to me since I’m reading the books back to back. I also found it odd that God is mentioned so many times in this book. It felt like the author suddenly found religion. Nonetheless, this is an important installment in the series. I was surprised how much of this book I didn’t remember. I’m looking forward to rereading the (original) last book.

I don’t know what it was but this one really did not appeal to me as much as the others…. I honestly felt CONSTANTLY annoyed with Lena and at least one other girl every chapter. I think I just disliked how they were all back tracking…. like with Eric. I don’t know. I’ll probably read some other novels before reading the fourth book.

I'm loving these books! They make me miss my childhood and high school best friends! Most of the time, I forget that these books fall into the YA genre because they seem like I'm re-living a younger part of life. Friendship and adapting to change are the two biggest themes in these books, both of which can be both beautiful and beautifully sad.

Its another cute summer but the plot is practically the same. Each girl ventures out and has a conflict but they each overcome it and find their way back to each other. Its cute but very repetitive.

Yk what ? The only reason why I gave this book 4 starts is Bridget and Eric.

One of the best things about this book (and series) is the celebration of sisterhood and how as a reader you can see yourself in each of the girls. For me the shining stars of this book were Lena, Valia, and Carmen, all of whom grappled with difficult choices and unexpected changes. Bee is second runner up and continues to be one of my favorite characters.

It's been a while since I first read the series so most of what I remember about it were from the movies. Yet after re-reading it, I was pleasantly surprised to rediscover the storylines that weren't included in the films. So if you're someone who skipped reading the books and just watched the movies, you're missing out!
