About the author

My first book was published in 1984 when I was 12. Why are you laughing? Since then I've published 16 books and 2 novellas: two Regencies originally written as Jane Lynson, one paranormal romantic suspense as Paula Christopher and everything else as Lynn Michaels. My husband Michael warned me never to dedicate a book to him, so instead I stole his name for my pseudonym.

Michael and I have 2 grown sons and 1 grandson. We live in Harry Truman's hometown, Independence, Missouri.

Outrageous, but funny when you need a light-hearted lift.
Needed to see the h/h together more.

started out strong, felt it tried to add too much without enough pages to make it sensible. like the reasons for the duke's dottiness and his turnabout. the beautiful (but not scheming) neighbour, the bad in-debt cousin and his ineffective plot. Elizabeth started out strong and interesting, but except for the first few pages, we never see anything except besides foolishness. Also the dog gets more mentions than the hero

A brilliant duke, a bluestocking, and a beast of a hound interact magnificently to stir up a frothy romance laced with fun. Add a rapscallion of a brother, a mushroom of a cousin, and some handy footmen to help save the day and it's all quite enjoyable.

Highly recommended for those who love to overset the mannerly attributes of a Regency Romance and for fans of an antic-filled tale.

Amusing farce, bit short, could have used more character development.

Lady Elizabeth(aka Betsy) is quite a character. The doddering earl she marries sounds like a piece of work. I loved Betsy, her hero not so much.

A fun historical. A bit light on the romance development but a lot of fun adventures and chase scenes
