This is the first 'Stinky Face' story that I've read. I usually pass over any title with an insult of any kind. Even if said endearingly, I wouldn't want a child stuck with the nickname of Stinky Face. A personal hang up of mine, I know.
Anyway, this is a cute story that kids are bound to appreciate, especially if they often use the phrase, "What if ..."
Nothing compares with the original I Love You Stinky Face, but this one is still cute enough to make Cooper laugh out loud. I did not care so much for the Halloween version though.
For kids who are experiencing Christmas Eve jitters—especially those worried that they’re on Santa’s Naughty List—this book provides a light-hearted way to deal with holiday anxiety. Cute, colorful illustrations dramatize the child’s “crazy Christmas worries” and Mom’s creative solutions.
This book would probably get a 4 from my son, and I would give it a 2, so I grudgingly give it 3 stars. I don’t really like this book. I have never read any other books by this author, but I just really have an issue with "Stinky Face" being a name of endearment.
