A literary and philosophical genius. A book in my families possession for years - that i discovered when i hit my 20s. Not a front to back read - but a definate source of inspiration.. Specially in winter - on a cosy sofa- fireplace cat and all.

I read this book in bits a pieces over several months - more as an exercise in literacy than anything else. There was a lot of wisdom in it, of course, but it was hard reading.

My favorite book in the world - and one that I give as a gift often. I'm not a religious person at all but the philosophy of Gibran in this book is the most memorable thing I've ever read and one that I hold dear.

I grew up reading Kahlil Gibran. The last time I read his works was over fifteen years ago but I still remember the profound impression his musings, stories and prose poems had on my adolescent imagination. There was always a copy of his works by the side of my bed.

Kahlil was a dreamer. My friends used to call him a madman.

Our world needs dreamers and madmen.

See the universe through Gibran's eyes and find yourself wondering if you'll ever see your own world the same again. An excellent book that offers as much to readers as they can handle, Gibran invites us to return to his text again and again to find new messages each time.

it is such a thought provoking read, filled with beautiful and sometimes heart breaking poems and short stories.

Never really finished - but really beautiful writing, and wish I still had my copy.
