Ugh. First, too philosophical. Second, I cannot sympathize with ex-hippie/radical wannabes who scrambled their minds with drugs and tried to destroy our country (the main characters). I kept hoping something bad would happen to all of them. Not what I am used to seeing from Scott Turow.

first of all 817 pages is just too damn long to make matters worse there is so places where the book jumps back to different individuals pass it's a great story if you're going to do this type of a book The Story needs to flow smoother although it's a well-written I am hard-pressed to recommend someone else spend the time going through 800 + pages

A group of sixties radicals are thrown together 25 years later as one of them is tried for conspiracy to commit murder. Well written with interesting characters, but it got a little preachy at the end.

I usually truly enjoy Turow's writing. This book was an exception.

It spanned two timelines - 1970 and 1995. It followed the same characters.

But the story just went on and on and ultimately did not have a meaningful ending.

Disappointed . . .
