It's a cute book with simple illustrations and lots of opportunities for caregivers (or older readers) to do lots of animal noises. The cadence can be a bit odd since the pages seem to rhyme sometimes but the rhythm isn't quite right. And the singing pigs right in the middle are the only animals that don't make the "proper" noise, but unlike most kids books, this doesn't lead to some lesson or anything. It's just...there.

This book is great for young children that are learning different animals. It is short sweet and to the point on what animals make as noises and ways of communicating. Once They start talking they will be able to say the noises as you read the book and be able to repay them after. Great learning book!

Our toddler has this one all but memorized. This book teaches basic animal sounds and features Boynton's fun illustrations. I love that it ends with a question for your child to answer.

Moo, Baa, La La La! is a great book for little ones to have on their shelf.

Really fun and cute, a delight to read to my son. Long enough, but not too long. Cute illustrations. Doesn’t use actual pictures, but uses realistic illustrations and realistic scenarios EXCEPT for one page, where the pigs are dancing. However, the next page says no, no, that isn’t right, and shows the pigs behaving normally. Just enough whimsy to be really fun.

Other considerations:

None of the animals are specifically gendered
Passive book (illustrations and text only; no flaps, noises, buttons, etc.)
Rhymes – not with a consistent pattern, but still reads perfectly; grammar fine; English only (British but not noticeably so)

This text is a great option for the infant age group! It allows for interaction between reader and listener, and entices young infants to produce babbling sounds. The animals may be familiar and repetitive for infants. Infants can also begin building concepts of print by engaging in turning pages, flipping the book, and observing the reader.

This is a fun alternative story to other books about what animals say. The illustrations in this book are so precious and funny, like the cats running from the dogs. I like how this is different from other books that talk about what animals say. This one has fun things like rhinoceroses. Before reading this book I didn't know the plural of rhinoceros was rhinoceroses. So it was educational for an adult too!

Finally, Charles and Lord Burke’s stories to end the series! Charles swears never to marry after the horrors of war. Lord Burke because he secretly had feelings for a woman who thought of him as a brother. Charles’ father makes him stand in as guardian for the lovely Daisy. Daisy swears never to marry after the cruelty of her father. While trying to protect her, Charles feels that maybe he was wrong about marriage after all. I received an ARC from NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for my honest review.

This book has my daughter running around the house, in her sing-song voice, "Moo, baa, la, la, la!" over and over again. Any book that can capture the attention of a child and make them want to read it multiple times while still holding their attention is a win!

This infant and toddler-based book focuses on all the sounds animals say in a silly and humorous way. The text is short and simple, and the illustrations follow Sandra’s classic cartoon style. The highlights of animals make it appealing, and the reader can use a fun tone and voice to describe each animal’s sound. This can also be an easy read for beginning readers. This is a board book and is small in size for small hands. The illustrations use rounded and soft lines to make it warm and inviting. The colors are bright but muted using a more pastel color palette. At the end of the book, it asks a question, “what do you say?” This is a great opportunity to initiate speech development in children and give them the option to have a voice or say the sound they want; this is such a silly and collaborative book that will bring young children delight and an interest in books!
