Make the sounds that you are supposed to make! Reminded me of a kind of Animal Farm for small children - but with no political message. Sandra Boynton always comes through with fun books that teach important lessons.

When I first read this book to Jilly and Em (18 mo.), Marg (4 yo.) was like “that’s not how Mommy says the ‘la la la’ part” but then Marg got used to how I do the la la la part so now when her mom reads it she’s like “that’s not how Aunt Maddie does the ‘la la la’ part.” Marg has this book memorized, we switch back and forth reading each page to the babies. However, I believe this book has gone missing because I haven’t seen it in a while. Might have to search under a bed or a crib to find it.

Cute but not that inspired, IMO. It didn’t stir much enthusiasm in me lol.

Loved this book, I’m beginning to see a theme though that my mom only reads me books about animals. I do wish she would switch it up.

A moving narrative that highlights the circle of life in understandable, free-market terms while placing a sunnier patina on the darker side of the meat and poultry industry.

A straightforward examination of the aural lives of local fauna. At the end, the reader is implicated in the investigation.
