This book is an amazing story of two men who are trying to find the American dream but get caught up into trouble it helped me see what the people who did find that dream had to go through I believe ages from 12 and up would enjoy this book and will be sad at the very ending
I found this book especially interesting because I live in California. I enjoyed it. There were parts which were a bit slow, but overall it was worth reading.
Originally read this in High School. Didn’t think too much of it then. I decided to reread it awhile back and was so glad I did. This defiantly belongs in the canon of American Novels.
I READ OF MICE AND MAN WHILE ATTENDING SCHOOL AND IT WAS ONE OF MY PROJECTS, AND WHEN I READ THAT BOOK, I WAS SO AMAZED AT THE COURAGE OF A MAN TO TAKE INTO HIS HANDS THE DRAMATIC LIFE OF SOMEONE HE CARE FOR , AND PROTECT HIM FROM OTHER POEPLE IN AN INSTANT WHEN THE MAN WAS GOING TO BE KILL BY SEVERAL MEN ,AND SUFFER , BECAUSE THE MAN WAS MENTALLY ILL, AND WAS NOT AWARE OF HIS AGRESSION TOWARDS SOCIETY, THEREFOR COULD NOT UNDERSTAND
The Grapes of Wrath has always been my favorite Steinbeck novel. I can highly recommend this collection. Well worth having this book in your collection.
