Skimmed through it a couple of times. A LOT of canned or processed food is required to do nearly all of these recipes. Likewise, ground beef seems to be a huge staple and I’m not big of that either. Lastly, It says 700 recipes but so many of them are one ingredient off from being the same.

I got this book out of the library after seeing the sheer volume of recipes it contained. But whn I got home and started perusing the recipes, I realized that the bulk of them were based on canned ingredients - and that the sodium levels were astronomical as a result. There were a few hidden gems, but it took a lot of searching to find them. If I'm going to buy a cookbook, I want to know that it's something I'll turn to time and again for healthy, simple recipes. If I want a lot of salt and other preservatives in my food, I'll buy pre-packaged products instead (well, okay, I actually won't, but what's the point of cooking if you're going to add all that back in?!).

I hate this book. I don't know where it came from, but if you want it it is yours. So many processed foods utilized in the recipes. So many repeat recipes. Best way to crock pot cook? Experiment. It's not hard.
