I haven't made anything in this cookbook. However the recipes seem to easy and quick to prepare. I will be buying this book soon.

I always wonder why cookbooks always think you have time to cook in the morning. I would love if someone out there would come out with a breakfast recipe that can be served cold. Like overnight oats or something. I also wonder why the first section was mostly filled with obvious information like don't buy bruised or wilted fruit and veg. Don't buy dented cans. No duh people...

Excluding the fact that I will never use any of the breakfast dishes that all require some form of prep and cook time and the beginning states a lot of useless information I feel most people should have picked up naturally, this was an okay recipe book. There's a few things in there I am interested to try out.

The recipes with the photographs look great. I was disappointed that this edition was printed in China. How hard would it have been to print it in the USA?

Gert picked this up when she was on Weight Watchers. I cooked many things from here. Several of them were tasty. None, however, have remained in the repertoire.

I read the 2011 edition....it was super! Lots of great tips, pics and recipes of course. So many good things...and I don't have to use the recipe builder!!!

The variety of recipes within is excellent from elaborate to simple. Some of my favorites are the Pumpkin Apple Bread, Dijon Herb Marinade, and the Lasagna w/Meat Sauce.
Some recipes that I didn't like were the guacamole, chicken fajitas, and the spicy beef and broccoli.

I wouldn't make half of this stuff. Plus it seems expensive to me. You'd have to buy TONS of ingredients to cook a couple of these. Not worth it to me.

I bought this cook book and going through the recipes I already don’t like it never in a million years will I cook anything with salmon seafood or poached asparagus and eggs bleck. I want a simpler cook book that everyone in my family will like.
