It is a Nicolas Sparks book.
that should say it all.I liked the book . All the authors book make me feel the same.
the intense passion the author writes about was enjoyable.
Julie has been suffering the loss of her late husband who left her a puppy before he passed and this puppy is her 'guardian'.the great dane Singer s really the star of the book. I loved that dog, he din't have to die
Richard was the man she tries to move on with but they end terribly because f her feeling Mike her late husband's best friend and also because Richard is a psycho. Yes that couple was cringe worthy at times , the calling and hanging up.
Mike and Julie had really sweet moments

this is just.. I don’t know what to say. I am so glad Sparks is alive and decided to write his own stories. It was not what I expected at all but I loved it.

This book was a masterpiece. I probably won’t sleep for another hour because I’ll think about the book and the ending but that’s alright. My heart just can’t take this.

I wanted a romance and what I got is just perfection. Didn’t expect any of it, but am very glad that it did happen.

Nicholas Sparks did an awesome job of moving the story along in this book, which is hard to do when tackling a thriller AND romance in the same novel. There was a delicate balance between the action/drama side of the story and the typical love story and I'm impressed with the attention to detail. I'd love to see this adapted into a movie!

Laços que Perduram retrata a história de Julie, uma rapariga que fica viúva com apenas 25 anos, pois o marido, Jim, morre com cancro.
Contudo, antes de morrer, Jim prepara uma surpresa para fazer companhia a Julie num momento de tanto sofrimento, um cão! Singer será, assim, o novo companheiro de Julie e consequentemente, o seu guardião!
Julie vê em Singer uma extensão de Jim, uma companhia diária que a ligará eternamente ao seu falecido marido.
E tal como Jim pede na carta que se fez acompanhar a Singer, Julie sente-se preparada para seguir em frente na sua vida e tentar encontrar alguém com quem partilhar o seu amor.
Mike é um dos fortes candidatos. Melhor amigo de Jim, conhece Julie à imensos anos e mesmo que esse sentimento estivesse "adormecido" até à morte de Jim, Mike sente algo mais do que amizade por Julie.
No entanto, Richard Franklin atravessa-se no meio desta amizade e Julie pensa que encontrou o homem ideal.

I don't like romance novels like this, but Nichols sparks is different, I don't know how or why, but I like this and its not the first book I read for him, I like his novels, the way he attract you..

I didn't hate Richard, I can't hate him, he loved her honestly, he loved her the way that the love take over the brain ..
Contrary with mike who hadn't got the courage to ask for a date ..

This book a really good and it was a great love story. I am happy the Richard and Julie never ended up together at the end because I feel like Richard was not really a good match for Julie. He is way different then Mike. Mike and Julie and great together. Mike is a down to earth kind of guy that cares for Julie and Richard is a person that has money and treats her like royalty, but in a way he seems like he cares for Julie. Through out this book I thought that Mike and Julie are perfect for each other. My thoughts about them never changed. Towards the end I would change is that Julie's dog Singer passes away because of old age. If I had written this book I would have Singer live, even Singer had a great home and parents and also a great life. It was well written that I felt like that I was in Julie's place and I could feel the way she did and their connection between each other. I really cried during that part on a good way.
