Wow, you should never underestimate graphic novels! Informative, very enriching,Biological and History based. If you enjoy dipping into a book and finding quick information this book is for you. I love it!

Due to the technical terms, a large part was going over the head, but still, having studied biology for few years, i got much of it.
The book has some interesting and noteworthy points on our behaviour and the behavior of mentally affected ones. liked it

Birkaç sene önce bu Çizgi Bilim serisinden birkaç kitabı çizimleriyle birlikte anlatımlarınım yalın ve anlaşılması kolay olduğunun söylenmesi üzerine almıştım. Zihin ve Beyin'i de kitabı aldıktan birkaç ay sonra okudum.
Kitabın içeriğinin çok da yalın ve anlaşılabilir düzeyde olmadığını düşünüyorum. Belki de buna sebep benim ilgimi çekecek tarzda daha somut örnekler yerine daha teorik şekilde açıklamalar kullanılmış olmasıdır.
Kitabı okuduktan bir zaman sonra aklımda kitapla ilgili hiçbir şey kalmadığını farkettim. Belki bu kitap böyledir, çünkü okuduğum ilk kitap bu olunca diğerlerini okumak istemedim. Bir gün...

Everyone must read this book to understand the basics of our brain parts and functionality.

I had previously read 'Introducing evolutionary psychology:..." illustrated by Oscar Zarate and had enjoyed it immensely, so had high hopes form this book. And I must say I was not disappointed!

This is a very accessible introducing to neuroscience, including its history and contemporary explorations in visual, affective and cognitive neuroscience. I thoroughly enjoyed it and finished it one single sitting. Highly recommended!

Beyin ve işleyişi gibi karmaşık bir konuyu grafik desteklerle açıklamaya çalışan güzel bir kitap.
Bazı kısımlarda birdenbire teknik açıklamalar başlıyor. Bazı kısımlarda , zihin, benlik gibi tarifi zor kısımları anlatmaya çalışmış, ancak sıkıcı bir şekilde. Bunun da çevirirden kaynaklandığını düşünüyorum.

كتاب مفيد إلى حد ما، أكثر ما استفدت منه هو تطور فهم البشرية في مختلف الحضارات للمخ ووظيفته، وكذلك بعض العلل التي تصيب الفصوص المختلفة للمخ، والتي جاء محتوى هذا الأخير مشابهاً لكتاب (الرجل الذي حسب زوجته قبعة) لطبيب الأعصاب (أوليفر ساكس)، وهو الكتاب الأقدم هنا من هذا الكتاب .. الذي ما أن بدأت اتأقلم على وجود الصور المبالغ فيه، قابلتني مشكلة الأخطاء المطبعية بكثرة -_-

ما افتقدته في هذا الكتاب، هو حديثه عن الذهن كما ذكر في العنوان، تمنيت أن أجد معلومات به عن الذهن والوعي والذاكرة، والتجارب والنظريات والمفاهيم المختلفة عنهم إن كانوا أجزاءً محددة من المخ أو النظريات القائلة بعكس ذلك، لكن جاء أغلب الكتاب عن المخ...

Great book, a real turn-pager.

I loved how it went through the history of how cultures thought about the brain in the past, the history of theorists on the brain and some of the strange beliefs about the brain (standing on an electrified fish for treatment),lots of information about how the LH and RH work, and details about some really cool disorders that I have never heard of like split brains, Wernicke's vs. Broca's Aphasia, Balint's Syndrome.

The great thing about this book is that throughout the information, there were comics,drawn pictures, and lots of maps to easily understand where the part of the brain they are talking discussing.

Very cool. Read it in about 3.5 hours.
