If you're on the verge of giving up on sinners, or if you've already resigned from the battle against evil, Francis Frangipane has a hopeful message that will cause you to fall to your knees and intercede with love and mercy on the behalf of sinners. Twelve brief biographies of outstanding Christians, including John Wesley, William Booth, and George Mller, provide real-life examples of the ability of a godly intercessor to impact the world for Christ. As you seek God's mercy for others, you will find His mercy for yourself and be transformed in the process. Discover the power waiting to be released by one Christlike life.
Francis Frangipane is a Christian evangelical minister and author. He is the founding pastor of River of Life Ministries in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States. In 2002, he also launched an international, online school called In Christ's Image Training (ICIT). This training lays a foundation of truth based on four principal themes: Christlikeness, humility, prayer and unity. ICIT has students in over seventy nations. Additionally, over the past decades, Frangipane has served on a number of other ministry boards. However, in recent years he has gradually resigned from these various boards. As of June 2009, he has also retired from his position as senior pastor of River of Life Ministries. In this more simplified life, Frangipane is devoting himself to prayer and the ministry of God's word. Francis Frangipane has an active partnership with the Mission America Coalition, consisting of leaders from 81 denominations and over 400 ministries and networks. He is also a welcomed teacher in various Charismatic and Evangelical church settings, in both the black and white communities.
An amazing and powerful book. While I disagree with Fragipane's eschatology, his words on the indwelling power of Christ are wonderful. This is a keeper and one I read aloud to our whole family.
This is such a good book explaining why it is important for Christians not to judge. Mercy triumphs over judgement! Helpful explanations of how Moses prayed for the Israelites and changed God's heart, however he wasn't allowed into the promised land.
I loved this book. Francis Frangipane has a gift of explaining his wonderful truth about intercession in a simple way with Scriptural support. Mercy does triumph over judgment. The more that today's church can take hold of this truth and also walk out our faith in close relationship to the Father as Jesus did, the more light will shine in our dark culture. People who are lost and desperate are drawn to humble lives where offense doesn't make us bitter. Living in forgiveness as Jesus did enables us to embrace God's love more and allow His glory to shine through us. I loved the short biographies of people who have made a great impact on their culture and on history.
