Christiansen poprzez swoje ksiazki odslania schematy funkcjonowania wspolczesnego swiata,

po przeczytaniu ksiazek Christiansena i dokladnym przeanalizowaniu zaczynam inaczej patrzyc na rzeczywistosc i jakos potrafie lepiej ocenic politykow, bznesmenow pod wzgledem etycznego, rzetelnego zarzadzania, prowadzenia polityki, podejmowania decyzji...

While the authors' "corporate language" was quite off-putting for this reader at first, I came to appreciate the sheer analytic and conceptual power of their argument more and more. If, like me, your main interest is mission-driven, non-profit organizations, you'll need to do a bit of translating - but there's plenty of reason to make this effort. Much to be learned.

Fundamental read to understand the forces and circumstances around innovation and strategy.

Four stars just because it’s quite boring but the concepts are crucial.

Not the typical business book. It made me see disruptive innovation from another perspective. Totally enjoyed it!

Overall interesting. About the concept how the business become commodities, how the companies innovate, the benefits of vertical and modular businesses and when to use each.

But the author gives sooo many general suggestions about "any" kind of business. Too general and not specific. I cannot know for sure but have a feeling these best suggestions just don't work.

My 2003 edition had a few narratives that were dated. But the overall theme and arguments presented are solid. Chapter 7 scored the most marginalia, and pushed me to consider a new way to write my LinkedIn biography.

Christensen's "The Innovator's Dilemma" is one of the standard texts on why successful companies are so often incapable of managing disruption in their respective industries. This second book tells *how* companies can approach disruption in the market.

Full of practical advice and well-researched data support, this is a must-read for heads of companies that need to be constantly growing and adapting.

An excellent book on the theory and application of disruptive processes that can lead to phenomenal growth. A must read for any company's executives faced with the dilemma of why their product line went from exceptional growth to lagging margins due to a variety of reasons. What I liked especially about this book, if you can get past the theory, is the practical examples of well-known companies, some who understood and applied the solutions in this book and some who did not. Disruptive procedures, products and applications have the potential of turning an entire well-established industry on its ear and to advance the world to a new level. Not all disruptive procedures will change the world, but if handled properly, have the potential to turn around a company that is in need of another surge of growth.

An interesting topic covered extremely well.

How do large successful companies continue to grow and satisfy and exceed investor expectations? Is it possible for a successful company to create and deploy successful disruptive innovations?

Disruptive innovation vs sustained innovation is expertly discussed here with solutions to support a disruptive model within a sustainable business model.

Some incredible theory backed up by evidence. Finally, some practical counsel enumerated. I really felt like I could run a company considering disruptive advancements. This book will require a reread.

Far more detailed than Seeing What's Next; the book didn't really go into non-market factors and he only briefly examined companies/industries. Although a lot of examples were mentioned before and more thoroughly examined in his other books, the examples were more to convey how to apply the principles put forth throughout this book.

For anyone attempting to launch a new venture or expand their current business this book provides ample tools to do so. The sections on asymmetric motivation, interfaces & architecture, disruptive channels and circumstance-based segmentation ("jobs-to-be-done" model) were most helpful to me. I have to say, I also find myself dreaming about creating the first perfect growth engine because of this book.

Christensen also provides a wealth of resources in his citations for further exploration of the topics.
