I agree with Emily that this is a great baby-naming book. Don't read it expecting to see specific formula for naming your baby. Her 'method,' I guess, is just thinking about certain personal preferences. The book outlines current trends and provides lists for those seeking names in certain genre's. I appreciated that the name lists where separated into boy and girl rather than trying to wade through all of them together.

Coolest book I've read so far on baby names. The responsibility of picking out the perfect one is just so daunting. I love that the author offers up a sibling list so you can see how names relate and sound good together.

I bought this years ago and finally got to put it to use. I love how it has name types organized - when I found names I liked, I was able to expand my search by looking at similar types of names. Much better than reading an alphabetical list!

I picked up a few baby name books at the library and found this one the most valuable. The author did some pretty interesting linking between names and name-types that would be useful for parents thinking about names for multiple kids. We also liked the name info she gave.
