Margarita Donnelly, along with 3 fellow writers, founded Calyx Journal in 1976. Calyx was one of the first feminist journals in the Pacific Northwest and remains committed to publishing women's literature and art. In the past 40 years, Calyx has published over 4000 authors and artists (Calyx).
