اولین کتابی بود که از پائولو خونده بودم و به قلم توانمندش آفرین گفته بودم که باعث این شده بود کتاب رو زمین نگذارم و پیوسته با او همراه بشم و بخونمش , سبک پائولو و نگاهش به دنیا رو واقعا دوست دارم

2 Stars for The Valkyries (audiobook) by Paulo Coelho read by Sean Runnette.

I read the Alchemist recently and I thought it was interesting. So I thought I’d give another book by Paulo Coelho a try. I’m a little confused. I was expecting another fictional story about another journey. I didn’t realize till the end of the book, where the author explained that only a little bit of the story was fiction. What? The Valkyries are real?
I liked that the story took place near where I live. I can picture the environment. But I think I’m done with this author for now.

Applaud or boo but pay the admission. The angel was light, and the light was what human existence, Paulo trusted in it

You really have to look into this with an open mind. Honestly, I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into when I picked up this book.

I absolutely love The Alchemist, it's safe to say that this is not similar in most aspects.

I do think there are some elements of the story that we can draw from, there's a lot of beliefs that need to suspended to draw from it.

I really do enjoy this book.

Terrible libro... Una total pérdida de tiempo.

Este livro foi simplesmente lindo. Tocou-me de uma maneira bastante própria, tem uma beleza bastante única e a sua escrita adapta-se ao que cada um acredita sobre si mesmo e o universo.
Honestamente não tenho uma maneira para falar sobre este livro, simplesmente que foi uma das leituras mais agradáveis e marcantes que já tive.

Ok I finally get it, Coelho is delusional.

A very interesting read. If you start, I highly recommend reading it all the way through to the last page. While I was perplexed by several events the book as I was reading, the epilogue and author's note at the end help bring things into focus. In a way I wish some of those details had been presented up front, but I'm certainly glad they were included at the finish.

I have loved several of Coelho's novels, but this memoir was really challenging to wrap my head around, I still am unsure how I feel about it, but the story itself was certainly interesting, if not entirely accessible

Teziti ljubavi.. Svima bi nam to trebalo biti vodilja!

Nu am rămas deloc impresionată de această carte. Ar fi trebuit să fie o călătorie de descoperire de sine, o poveste despre dragoste, iertare și încredere. Adevărat că aceste idei apar în text, dar totul este atât de superficial. Parcă ar fi o versiune prescurtată a unui roman. Nu există profunzime de sentimente, toate personajele secundare par a fi irelevante, nu par să aibă propriile voci care să fie suficient de puternice pentru a exprima cine sunt. Chiar și personajul principal, cine este el cu adevărat? Poate se spune, dar nu ni se arată în niciun fel. Tot ceea ce vedem este un om nemulțumit de viața lui, luptă cu demonii săi interiori, dar nu admite niciodată pentru că se simte o persoană puternică în cercul său. Un soț care își neglijează total soția, deși se spune că o iubește, o admiră, e înaintea celorlalți, dar acțiunile care sunt povestite spun o altă poziție.
Două sau trei personaje secundare ar fi putut fi interesante dacă ar fi fost dezvoltate (Chris, Valhalla, Took). Cadrul este frumos și merită o descriere mult mai amplă, după părerea mea.
În general, nu am putut să mă conectez cu această carte și orice potențial pe care l-ar fi putut avea povestea a fost irosit.
Am oferit 2 stele în loc de 1 din cauza personajului lui Chris (soția) , care cred că merită un roman aparte, și din cauza fragmentelor de înțelepciune presărate de-a lungul paginilor.
