I really tried to read this book. But it is so dry that I couldn't get through it! I'm sure there is some good info in here, but I just can't read it. If this is required reading, see if you can find the summaries and that is it.

What makes this book different is that focuses leadership from a study perspective and not a motivational one.

it's a good resource to learn more about this subject.

Read this as part of the Teacher Leader program at EKU. It is well written and honest about the major leadership theories. The fact that it includes the negative sides is refreshing. Good starter text but it does lack the implementation tools that some other text have. A lot of theory and case study readings make it an interesting read overall but not the best in the field at large.

I read this as part of my MBA leadership course and found it really useful. Not a book I’d read for leisure!

As textbooks go, this is by far one of the best I've ever read. The 9th edition is fantastic - it includes leadership theories and ideas in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in addition to the content in the 8th edition.

For a textbook, this one wasn't too bad. I really liked how it was set up. It shows you the theory, then the strengths and weaknesses of the theory.

Leadership changes the world, no matter the scale.

Because leadership is both so important and so possible, it is crucial to understand it better.

Very thorough.

Mr. Northouse is very thorough in his approach to the theory and application for sustainable leadership! Great for all who lead and follow.
