21 leyes irrefutables del liderazgo

Este es un manual, para conocer mínimo que requiere un líder o alguien que aspira serlo.
Consideró que uno es llevado de la mano al liderazgo y se agrega todo lo que uno pueda aprender.
Algo que me gusto mucho es las preguntas al final de cada capítulo, nos obliga a practicar la lectura comprensiva y nos motiva a releer para contestar las preguntas.

I was asked to read this book for a leadership program at work. While I do like some of the laws and the sentiments behind them I did not like that the book focuses on empowering men. It is also a book that has a lot of religious undertones. Not for me.

Es un libro interesante, que detalla 21 pasos para ser un buen líder. A lo largo del texto va explicando porque cada uno de estos pasos es importar y los ejemplifica. Hay muchas historias reales que hacen que hagas click y se comprenda la idea del autor.

Es un excelente manual para llevar en el bolsillo y recurrir a el constantemente.

Mi frase favorita: “Sea la persona para lo cual fue creada y realice todo lo que se le encomendó cuando se le puso en este planeta.”

This was a really good leadership book! I think the first half of the book was 5 stars but the end fell flat for me. There were a lot of lengthy war and sports analogies- two topics I dislike strongly but they did draw good examples for leadership. I like how each chapter ends with a self assessment and actionable items.

Maxwell writes about leadership in simple and clear-cut language that connects the reader to the laws of leadership. In each chapter, the law is explained, examples are given, and recommendations for implementation are listed.

Great book, but tailored more towards high lever leaders over companies.

I just can’t do it. I made it to chapter 1.

I read this book as a leadership book study for work. I enjoyed this as a book study but I dont think I would have gotten as much out of this book just reading it myself. The stories were interesting but some of the laws felt repetitive. I can appreciate that some of the laws wont mean anything to me at this point in leadership and some were thought provoking and helpful.

This was very enlightening. I listened to it on audio book, but found myself wanting to highlight many points, so I ended up purchasing a copy as well. It will be a great book to reference back to.

The book is a quick read that I would encourage someone who has not read about leadership to pick up and spend an afternoon skimming. The voice is convincing however, it is clear that "The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership" suffers from 'fortieth book' syndrome in that it is concise but clearly doesn't have ideas that are developed at length. The book's value is in being a concise reminder of certain leadership guidelines that a good mentor will teach you.
