I'm still deeply immersed in my cozy reads kick.

Cole's gentle reminder that rereading my childhood favourites would likely hit the mark truly struck a chord within me.

I don't think I've ever taken the time to reread Daine's adventures before, but I'm so glad I finally did!

As I delved back into that familiar world, it felt like reconnecting with a long-lost friend.

The vivid characters, the exciting plot twists, and the enchanting settings all came alive once again.

It was a wonderful experience that brought back a flood of memories and emotions.

Rereading Daine's adventures has not only given me a sense of comfort and nostalgia but has also reminded me of the power of a good book to transport us to another time and place.

I'm looking forward to exploring more of my childhood favourites in the future and continuing this journey of rediscovery.

There was magic,

beautiful and monstrous mythical creatures,

and the emergence of a young heroine’s immense power.

What’s not to like? This was a fantastic story told by Tamara Pierce.

I loved it from the first page.

It was an incredible, immersive, engrossing page turner.

I love the characters, especially Daine with her unique knack and deep connection with animals.

I really loved how she constantly surprises the people around her with her uncanny victories over formidable opponents.

There was never a dull moment in this story.

This is the first book in a four-series collection.

I’m so excited to move on to the next book and continue following Daine’s adventures.

I can’t wait to see what new challenges and magical creatures she will encounter.

I’m sure it will be just as amazing as the first one.

I truly wish this book had been available when I was around 11 years old. I am certain it would have become one of my all-time favorites. As it stands now, I find myself wishing I knew an 11 - 13 year old girl who has a passion for reading. If I did, I would毫不犹豫地 buy this book for her.

One of the things I enjoy doing with books is approaching them completely blindly, having little to no idea about what they are about. It's like starting with a clean slate, or in Latin, "tabula rasa" style. In fact, I often don't even bother reading the back cover of the book. Sometimes, this "tabula rasa" approach to novels works out extremely well for me. Since I have no preconceived notions about what the book "should" be about, I am able to focus solely on the merits of the book, free from any bias. However, at other times, it doesn't work out so favorably. I end up reading books that I absolutely detest and end up throwing the book and muttering things like, "what is this garbage?".

At any rate, my point is that I really had no clue what this book was about before I began reading it. I noticed that a significant number of my friends had ranked it very highly, and it was available for immediate checkout at my library. So, I thought I would give it a try.

The book got off to a bit of a rough start for me because I didn't initially realize that it was more geared towards early teens rather than young adults. It had been classified as YA due to its mature character relationships. Once I understood this, I was able to relax and truly enjoy the story. And boy, did I enjoy it! It's such a great, uplifting story. In simple terms, it's a wonderful book.

What is the old proverbial saying that all real-estate people are supposed to live by? "Location, Location, Location". You're probably wondering what that has to do with anything. Well, let me try to explain. Although I found this book enticing, wonderful, and lovely, it was clearly not written for me and my demographic; it was written for kids. By that token, I am giving this book 4 & 1/2 stars instead of a full five. However, I am going to mark it as a 5 because I believe it truly deserves that rating.

If you haven't already checked out this book, I highly recommend it. It's an easy read, and I think anyone could enjoy it. I know I really liked it!
