This article was truly an enjoyable read.

It stands alone quite well as it has no direct tie-in to the rest of the series, which makes it optional. However, it's always a treat to see a bit more of this great character.

It would have been even nicer if there was a little more connectivity with some of the other characters such as Bram, Jarvis, Lorrie, or Flora.

Even if one were to read it after everything else in the series, it could have added so much more depth and richness to the overall narrative.

This is one of the things that Feist is usually very good at, creating a web of interconnected characters and storylines.

Unfortunately, aside from Jimmy, this particular installment added no dimension to anyone else in the world of Midkemia.

Nonetheless, it was still an interesting read and a welcome addition to the series.

Perhaps in future installments, Feist will focus more on strengthening the connections between the characters and creating a more cohesive and engaging story.

Overall, it's a solid piece of work that fans of the series will surely appreciate.

I have a great affection for Jimmy the Hand as a character. However, when I read this book, it didn't give me the feeling of Jimmy the Hand that I was familiar with. Instead, it seemed like a completely different character with the same name.

Having said that, I must admit that I still enjoyed the book to some extent. The story had a great concept, and I also liked the other characters in it. But objectively speaking, this is not a genuine Raymond E Feist book.

After expressing my thoughts, I later found out that Raymond E Feist basically gave permission to other writers to use his fictional world, select a character, and create a story. So, it's a great idea in theory, but it's not what you would expect if you were looking forward to a typical Raymond E Feist book.

Nice story!

It fills out the backstory of an intriguing character who appears in several of Feist's 'Midkemia' novels.

The story picks up just after his appearance in 'Madician: Master'.

It is light and fun, much like the character himself.

This makes it a breezy read that will keep you entertained from start to finish.

The author does a great job of fleshing out the character and giving us a better understanding of his motives and personality.

We get to see how he came to be the way he is and what events led up to his appearance in the other novels.

The writing is engaging and the story moves along at a good pace.

Overall, this is a great addition to the 'Midkemia' series and a must-read for fans of Feist's work.

This short adventure allows us to learn a lot more about the history of this character and understand him even better. It was a flawless one for me.

The story was engaging from start to finish, with interesting plot twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. I also liked the way the story was written, with clear and concise language that was easy to follow.

**Title: The Importance of Elibrary**

In today's digital age, the elibrary has emerged as a crucial resource.

I was really anticipating a story that was mainly centered around Jimmy the Hand.

However, this is the first story in the Riftwas series that I have been let down by.

I had high hopes for it, thinking that it would focus on the adventures and exploits of Jimmy.

But instead, it seems to have deviated from that expected path.

The story might have interesting elements elsewhere, but for me, who was specifically looking forward to more about Jimmy, it has fallen short.

Perhaps there are still aspects that will redeem it as I continue reading, but at this point, my initial disappointment lingers.

I hope that future installments in the series will return to the character of Jimmy and give him the attention and storylines he deserves.

Until then, I'll have to wait and see if my expectations will be met.

I have slowed down a bit on my progress through the works of Raymond Feist. In fact, it took me almost a year to read this one, which is quite crazy considering the book isn't even 400 pages. I'd like to think that this doesn't reflect any reduction in the story's quality. However, the last few books have been very different from the early ones in the series. Some might blame the fact that the last few were collaborations. But early on, Feist collaborated with Jenny Wurts and those books were fantastic. My final thoughts are that, while they are different and maybe not quite as good, the main reason for my slowness is the reading slumps I've experienced over the past few years due to the pandemic and various other personal factors.

Jimmy the Hand is a bit of a misnomer. Jimmy, a well-known character from the Riftwar Series (the first four Feist books), is indeed in this story. It's one of his first adventures in the Riftwar era before most of the events readers already know even happened. However, I'd say that in the end, Jimmy is a minor character and most of the major plot points have nothing to do with him. I feel like Feist's collaborator on this one (S.M. Stirling) had the plot fully fleshed out without Jimmy and just shoved him in when he got the chance to collaborate with Feist to make the connection to the original storyline. The story is pretty good, but it's odd that it has so little to do with Jimmy considering his name is on the book.

All in all, it's a decent read, especially for those looking for a little Riftwar nostalgia after being more than a dozen books removed from that time period.

I was truly relishing the book up until approximately a third of the way through. Essentially, the book alternates the points of view (POVs) between the villain and the main character. Then, they introduce a third set of POVs, and the inciting incident for them is so absurd that it marred the quality that surrounded it.

SPOILERS
When Rip and Lorrie are introduced, a tragic event occurs. While Lorrie is away hunting, mercenaries kill her parents, abduct her brother, and burn down her house. She witnesses the mercenaries using a tool to puncture the dead bodies to make it seem like animals killed them. This is so persuasive that the townsfolk do not believe her when she claims that people killed her parents and abducted her brother. To the extent that she steals a horse to track them down.
This poses the question:
DO THE TOWNSFOLK BELIEVE WOLVES BURNED DOWN THEIR HOUSE?
No one remarks that the parents being killed by animals and the house burning down happened simultaneously, and throughout the book, they discuss them almost as separate events. This bothered me to such an extent that I could not enjoy what occurred after, and it spoiled what came before. And again, I really liked what came before and after, but everything is so much more than the sum of its parts.

It's a pity that this one flaw had such a significant impact on my overall enjoyment of the book. I had high hopes for it, but this particular aspect just didn't sit right with me.

Maybe if the author had addressed this inconsistency more clearly, it wouldn't have been such a big issue. However, as it stands, it left me with a sense of dissatisfaction.

Despite this, I still think there were some redeeming qualities in the book, and I'm curious to see how the story progresses.

Jimmy is my all-time favourite character. His story and personality truly capture my imagination.

Reading about him provides a good and deep insight into his world. It's like getting a peek into a unique and interesting life.

However, I can't help but feel a little disappointed that it couldn't have been longer. I yearn for more details, more adventures, and more of his interactions with other characters.

I want to know what happens next in his life, how he overcomes the challenges he faces, and what new experiences await him.

Despite this, I still cherish the time I've spent with Jimmy and look forward to any future stories or developments related to him.

He has truly left a lasting impression on me, and I can't wait to see what else he has in store.

I was completely engrossed in this thing.

It was so captivating that I really couldn't put it down.

Every moment spent with it was like a journey into a new world.

The details were so vivid and the story so engaging that I found myself losing track of time.

I would sit for hours, completely immersed in it, oblivious to everything else around me.

It had a hold on me that I couldn't resist.

I just had to keep going, to see what happened next, to discover all the secrets it had to offer.

It was truly an unforgettable experience, one that I will cherish for a long time.

And even now, as I think back on it, I can still feel that same sense of excitement and wonder.

It was that good.
