The fight between Zaraki and Tousen is truly amazing.

Zaraki, with his wild and unrestrained fighting style, charges forward fearlessly, as if nothing can stop him.

Tousen, on the other hand, is calm and composed, using his unique abilities to counter Zaraki's attacks.

Their battle is a display of strength and skill, with each blow and counterblow sending shockwaves through the battlefield.

Zaraki's powerful swings of his massive sword are met with Tousen's precise parries and counterattacks.

As the fight progresses, both Zaraki and Tousen push themselves to their limits, determined to emerge victorious.

Their intense battle keeps the onlookers on the edge of their seats, unable to look away.

It is a fight that will be remembered for a long time, a testament to the power and courage of these two warriors.

This particular aspect is not solely centered around Ichigo. Instead, it truly gives Renji and Kenpachi the opportunity to shine brightly.

Renji, with his complex personality and evolving skills, gets to display his growth and determination. Kenpachi, on the other hand, with his raw power and unwavering spirit, commands attention.

Moreover, it also showcases other great characters such as Byakuya and Kaname. Byakuya, with his elegance and mastery of the sword, represents the epitome of the noble class. Kaname, with his mysterious past and hidden motives, adds an element of intrigue to the story.

Overall, this not only enriches the narrative but also allows the readers to appreciate the diverse and fascinating characters that make up this world.

"Rukia Kuchiki. Have you any last words?" [Genryuusai]

Volume 17 presented us with some truly spectacular fight scenes and some incredibly looking Bankai reveals. However, the clock is ticking at an alarming rate. Rukia can be killed at any given moment. The Karakura Team (Ishida, Chad and Orihime), Renji, and some of the captains are racing towards the place of the execution, desperately trying to prevent the worst from occurring. But the most crucial person, Ichigo Kurosaki, is nowhere to be found. [I'm serious, he's truly nowhere in sight, at least not in Volume 17. Either is Yoruichi, who's the character that is placed on the cover of this volume.]

"I didn't know you'd achieved Bankai."
"How could you? You pay no heed to what's beneath you."

The Renji vs Byakuya fight is one that, for me, is always extremely difficult to watch. Don't misunderstand me; it looks amazing in both the anime and manga, and both Bankai reveals of Renji and Byakuya are splendid. But it's evident how it will end, and it's heartbreaking because of Renji's deep-seated need to save Rukia and his hopes of surpassing the person he idolized. Renji worked tirelessly to become stronger and to (finally) defeat Byakuya. He pushed himself to his limits, and, unfortunately, didn't succeed. This wasn't a fight he was meant to win. This wasn't the moment Byakuya was supposed to realize what a huge mistake he was making.

But it's coming. Very, very soon.

I also have to mention that I love the brief moment where Renji thinks of Ichigo and the parallels between them are展现.

"Are you afraid?"
"Of what?"
"You don't want Renji and the others to die, do you? When you fear for the lives of those you care about... Doesn't the thought of death suddenly become more terrifying?"

How is it possible that Gin looks more like a snake in the manga than in the anime? And why did he tease Rukia so cruelly? Did he think that Rukia would try to fight her way out of the execution?

"I've had a strong suspicion. Ever since you made captain by killing the captain of 11th company, I've thought, This man is a monster spreading carnage and thirsting for blood. He's not like the rest of us. He can't be allowed to stay." [Tousen to Zaraki] - HAR HAR

I have a deep affection for Renji and Byakuya's fight. It is truly a pleasure to witness how much Renji has developed and paralleled Ichigo.

The battles in this volume are equally captivating. Gin's act of giving Rukia false hope is extremely cruel and effectively solidifies his characterization as a snake.

I also enjoyed learning about Tōsen's backstory and seeing his Bankai, as well as the revelation of Komamura's face and Bankai.

All the characters are gradually converging on one place, and I am filled with excitement for the final climax to unfold. It makes me eagerly anticipate what will happen next in this thrilling story.

I can't wait to see how the plot will progress and how the characters will interact in the upcoming chapters. The anticipation is building up, and I'm sure it's going to be an unforgettable conclusion.

Overall, this volume has been a great addition to the series, and I'm looking forward to more精彩 content in the future.

Ichimaru is a character who has the ability to choke others.

His actions and behavior in this regard can have a significant impact on the story and the other characters involved.

Perhaps he uses this skill as a means of intimidation or to gain an advantage in a particular situation.

It could also be a part of his unique personality or fighting style.

The idea of Ichimaru being able to choke adds an element of danger and excitement to the narrative.

Readers or viewers may be on the edge of their seats, wondering when and how he will use this ability next.

It also makes him a more complex and interesting character, as his actions are not always straightforward or predictable.

Overall, the fact that Ichimaru can choke is an important aspect of his character that helps to drive the story forward and keep the audience engaged.

Go Renji! Go! Kick that evil spoiled nepo baby's ass!!!

From a story perspective, it's a bit odd that suddenly all the captains and assistants are acting like "Did you know I bankai?" In my opinion, according to the last volume, one can't be a captain without being able to Bankai, so I'm not really surprised.

The remainder of the fighting is somewhat interesting, but there's so much talk about ethics and such - especially from certain characters who are actually the villains in this story. It's a wall of text that would make Stan Lee proud.

Does anyone else think this is the cover Frank Cho traced for his infamous Spider-Woman cover?

This is my second time reading through this volume after several years have elapsed.

Overall, the story has its moments of excitement and intrigue, but the excessive dialogue about ethics can sometimes feel a bit tiresome. However, it's still an engaging read, especially for fans of the series. I'm curious to see how the story will unfold in the next volumes.

Kuchiki Byakuya vs Abarai Renji.

This is a highly anticipated battle that showcases the skills and determination of both warriors. Byakuya, with his refined剑术 and noble status, presents a formidable opponent. Renji, on the other hand, has grown stronger through his experiences and is eager to prove himself against his former mentor.

Meanwhile, Rukia meets Ichimaru Gin. Their encounter brings a sense of mystery and tension. Gin's true motives are always hidden beneath his charming smile, and Rukia is left wondering what he truly wants.

And then there's Komamura taichou. Kyaaa... He is actually quite cute in his own way, despite his intimidating appearance. His unique personality and loyalty to his comrades make him a beloved character among fans. xP

Overall, these events add to the excitement and drama of the Bleach series, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.

Who wins when you race time?

Time is an unforgiving opponent. It marches on relentlessly, never pausing or waiting for anyone. When we race against time, it often feels like a losing battle.

We strive to accomplish more in a day, to meet deadlines, to fit in all the activities and responsibilities. But no matter how hard we try, time seems to always be one step ahead.

Sometimes, we may think we have won by getting everything done on time. But then, we realize that there are always more tasks waiting, more opportunities slipping away.

In the end, perhaps the real winner is not the one who beats time, but the one who learns to make the most of the time they have. Who can find a balance between productivity and enjoying life. Who can appreciate the present moment and not constantly be in a rush.

So, instead of constantly racing against time, let's learn to work with it and make every moment count.

The countdown to execution has begun! There is no time to waste if Rukia Kuchiki is to be saved! Renji is resolute in his determination to rescue his friend, even if it means going up against Byakuya, his own captain. Byakuya is confident in his ability to defeat Renji, but Renji has been training with Ichigo and has a few tricks up his sleeve.

Kenpachi is joyfully facing the masked Komamura and the blind Tosen. Finally, a true challenge! As Rukia is being led to the Sokyoku, across the bridge, she meets Gin Ichimaru, who can't resist one last opportunity to taunt the condemned Soul Reaper. He tells her that Renji is still alive and offers to assist her. When she reaches the Sokyoku, she is asked if she has anything to say and makes a final request.

Realizing that Captain Tosen has used his bankai, Hisagi wants to go to him, but Yumichika tells him they are not done. When Tosen questions his abilities and standing in the company, Yumichika enlightens him as to why he holds the position he does. In fact, Yumichika will show him something if Tosen promises not to tell the other members of his squad.

The execution has started. It's now or never if Rukia is to be saved.

This volume is truly a nail-biter as Ichigo and his friends fight to save Rukia from what they believe is an unjust execution. Ichigo is noticeably absent, still working hard to learn how to bankai. But he has an unyielding spirit and refuses to consider failure as an option. No doubt we'll see him in the next book. Tosen's backstory is touching, and the revelation of Komamura's actual face is enlightening. You can't help but love Yachiru, the way she calls Orihime "Chubby" and Ichigo "Itchy" (or perhaps it should be translated as Ichi). It's hard to tell, and translation can be a tricky thing.

There are so many questions here that demand answers. Is Rukia's so-called offense really of such a serious nature that it warrants her execution? And if we assume that Soul Society is a kind of heaven where the dead go and that the Soul Reapers themselves are not alive and not human, then how can she be executed and what does this truly mean to them? Why is Byakuya such a rigid and cold monster who is willing to let his own sister lose her life?

Plus, we still have the mystery of who killed Captain Aizen. We know it wasn't Ichigo and Company, despite what Soul Society thinks. So who is the killer, and why was he killed? So many questions, so few answers... yet. Something has to give, hopefully in the next volume.

Looking forward to the big event, be there!

This was an outstanding volume.

We witnessed the intense battle between Renji and Byakuya, and it was truly epic. We saw just how powerful Byakuya is. Even after Renji used his Bankai, he was still unable to defeat Byakuya. He may have managed to touch him, but he was nowhere near Byakuya's level. Byakuya defeated him quite severely, and his Bankai was not only gorgeous but also intimidating and excellent.

Ichigo had a minor spotlight as he was training, and his memories served as motivation for Renji.

On the other hand, we had the encounter between Kenpachi and Tousen. We got to see Tousen's backstory, and the fact that he was unable to save his former love interest haunts him. This is why he desires the power to stop bad things from happening. It's a formidable backstory that adds a great deal of depth to his character.

Meanwhile, Rukia's execution is about to begin soon! There was a lot going on in this volume, with less focus on Ichigo to build out this world and shine the spotlight on other characters.

Overall, it was a volume filled with excitement, drama, and character development.

The Soul Society arc seems to be finally reaching its conclusion.

In this volume, we witness intense battles. Renji engages in a fierce fight with Byakuya, Zaraki takes on Tosen, and Gin sets a trap for Rukia. As her death looms and the Soul Society descends into chaos, Rukia looks pretty, helpless, and tragic. I'm glad to see her, but I'm really eager to see her play an active role again. The damsel-in-distress role doesn't fit the character I first met and adored.

As always, the character design in this series is a delight. I usually skim through the art in fight scenes, but when it comes to the characters' expressions, Tite Kubo is truly amazing.

And I couldn't help but snicker when Yachiru called Ichigo "Itchy". (I thought she'd nicknamed him "Ichi", but that might just be another case of the fandom misleading me.)
