Man is an omnivore, both figuratively and literally.

Figuratively, man has an insatiable appetite for knowledge, experiences, and new ideas. He constantly seeks to consume and understand the world around him, devouring information from various sources such as books, the internet, and conversations with others.

Literally, man's diet consists of a wide variety of foods, including both plants and animals. He has the ability to adapt to different environments and consume whatever is available to him for survival.

Whether it is the acquisition of knowledge or the consumption of food, man's omnivorous nature drives him to explore and consume everything that comes his way. This inherent trait has allowed him to evolve and thrive throughout history, constantly expanding his horizons and pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

"We are an ape with a symbiotic relationship to a mushroom." - Terrence McKenna

I have a deep affection for that Mudvayne song, and this book holds a special place in my heart as well! I came across volumes 2 and 3 of the series in a second-hand bookshop. However, it took me a rather long time, which felt like a "covid-minute" (a reference to the extended waiting period during the pandemic), to track down book 1 through the library.

But let me tell you, it was most definitely worth the wait! The anticipation only added to the excitement when I finally got my hands on that first book. Now that I have the complete series, I can't wait to immerse myself in the entire story and explore the world that the author has created.
