Great man! But the book could have been better.

My goal was to learn the details of their bootstrapping story since it's the authoritative bio of Munger, but it's very poor to answer this aspect, while not bad from See's Candy to Gillette timeline, especially around Salomon. Throughout Munger is repetitively treated as a hero but how he became one lacks supporting details.

พอถึงภาคผนวก ข สุนทรพจน์ เป็นเเก่นที่ได้ความรู้เน้นๆ เเต่กลับอ่านยากเเละเข้าใจยากมาก

หนังสือเล่มนี้เป็นหนังสือที่บอกเล่าประวัติชาร์ลี ได้ดี เเต่เนื้อหาค่อนข้างเข้าใจยากมากสำหรับเรา หากจะอ่านเพื่อนำไปต่อยอด ผมให้คะเเนน 1/5 เเต่หากอยากรู้เรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับชาร์ลี ผมให้ 4/5

ส่วนความยากของหนังสือเล่มนี้ ผมให้ 4/5 กระโหลก เเละความเข้มข้นของเนื้อหา ให้ 5/5 เเทบไม่มีที่ไม่ว่างเหลือในกระดาษเลย ได้เเต่อุทานว่า เมื่อไรมันจะจบวะ เเม่งอ่านยากจริงๆ

Charlie is the best

Although I’ve heard already many of the wits and wisdom from Charlie Munger as explained in this book through other channels, man must never forget that, when this book came out, many of these weren’t known yet for the bigger public. 20 years ago, there were no podcasts, and internet wasn’t the worldwide source it is today. Nevertheless, with this bearing in mind, I absolutely loved this biography.

Charlie Munger life story and his wisdom. One of munger's favorite idea from Aristotle " The best way to avoid envy is to deserve the success you get" charlie deserve this.

Charlie Munger's is a story that needs to be told. And told well. Unfortunately this effort is a poor one. Badly written, needlessly detailed on unimportant aspects, and badly organised.

And yet, useful in pockets.

Worth reading, with some good nuggets

A great biography and history of Charlie Munger. A great lawyer and even greater investor. From his birth to his meeting Warren Buffett and other famous investors. Charlie and his family are all amazing people. The book goes to the year 2000. It would be great to see another book from 2000 to present 2019 day.

If you’re a Value Investor and follow Berkshire Hathaway and Warren Buffett then read this book. It’s a great read on Charlie Munger. Janet Lowe does a great job capturing Charlie. Enjoy

Book gives some insights on Charlie's personal life and working style. But narrative lacks cohesiveness and doesn't keep the reader interested. Poor Charlie's Almanac & BKH annual meetings are better sources to understand Charlie

Enjoyable biography of Charlie Munger. A

Charlie has aimed to ‘remain just outside the Fortune rich list’ so that he can keep out of the public light.

I respect this and what he has achieved with Buffet at Berkshire. However, if you assume he had an easy life and things came naturally to him (like Buffet) you would be mistaken.

This should give solace to those of you struggling to make progress. Being young and in a hurry is not a bad thing and getting knocked back is certainly more of a statistical norm.

A fascinating look into an interesting life.
