Just be yourself.

That’s really all you can be.

In this vast and diverse world, there are countless pressures and expectations that try to mold us into something we are not.

But the truth is, when we strive to be someone else, we lose sight of our true essence and the unique qualities that make us special.

By being ourselves, we embrace our individuality, our strengths, and our weaknesses.

We allow ourselves to grow and evolve in a way that is authentic and true to who we are.

It may not always be easy, as there will be times when we face criticism or judgment from others.

But if we stay true to ourselves, we will find that we are more fulfilled and content in life.

So, don't be afraid to be yourself.

Embrace who you are, and let your true self shine through.

Because in the end, that's all that really matters.

The last installment of the Catwings books bears a striking resemblance to the previous ones. However, it does offer a touch more adventure and panache.

It leans a bit more towards being allegorical, although not to a great extent. In this book, we encounter human beans and cats that possess wings.

The story unfolds in a familiar yet engaging way, with the characters facing various challenges and obstacles along the way.

Despite the difficulties, they persevere and ultimately reach a happy ending.

The Catwings series as a whole has been beloved by readers of all ages for its charming characters and imaginative storylines.

The final book in the series is no exception, offering a satisfying conclusion to the adventures of the winged cats and their human friends.

It is a must-read for fans of the series and anyone who enjoys a good dose of fantasy and adventure.

More cats with wings! Jane, the youngest catwing, is tired of the ordinary life on the farm. So, she decides to set off in search of adventure.

During her journey, she meets a man who initially seems kind. However, it turns out that he only wants to use her to become famous on TV. Jane realizes she must find a way to escape before humans start to think that there might be more than one cat with wings.

Once again, Le Guin has created a perfectly adorable story, enhanced by delightful art. This book is a great addition to a sweet series that kids will surely love! It offers a world of imagination and excitement, where cats with wings have their own adventures and face challenges that they must overcome.

The story not only entertains but also teaches kids about the importance of being cautious and not trusting everyone blindly. It encourages them to use their wits and find solutions to problems.

Overall, it's a charming book that will capture the hearts of both children and adults alike.

If you've ever delved into Ursula K. Le Guin's 'Left Hand of Darkness', you have a certain inkling of her remarkable writing style.

Catwings, on the other hand, is a children's book. However, I took the liberty of reading it myself before presenting it to the child I had in mind.

And lo and behold, I just noticed that there's an entire series! How exciting is that? I'm positively determined to read them all.

The stories are delightfully quirky and have a way of bending the mind in ways that I thoroughly enjoy.

Besides, I have an inherent affinity for wings. Although, more often than not, I associate them with angels.

But in these books, the concept of wings takes on a whole new and enchanting dimension.

It's as if Le Guin has opened up a magical world where the ordinary becomes extraordinary and the imagination can run wild.

I can't wait to explore this series further and see what other wonders it has in store.

This is fine when read as a metaphor about finding one's place in the world and refusing to conform to outside demands & exploitation.

However, I don't read books about cats metaphorically. Taken literally, this is exactly the problematic romanticization of outdoor cats and "freedom" that I despise. It's not out of place for 1999, but that doesn't make me like it any better.

Nevertheless, I do still like Jane (especially her dialog). Her dialogues are engaging and add a lot of charm to the story. And the illustrations of her are adorable. They bring the character of Jane to life in a very vivid way.

Overall, while I have my reservations about the romanticization of outdoor cats in this book, I still appreciate the character of Jane and the lovely illustrations. It's a bit of a mixed bag for me, but there are definitely some redeeming qualities.

The Catwings series gives the impression of being more like a solitary book that has been divided into 4 distinct parts. As a result, I am going to offer a review of the entire series right here.

Surprisingly, this series was not what I had anticipated at all. I had imagined that cats with wings would inhabit a magical and fantastical world, far removed from the reality of an ordinary alley. However, to my delight, my kids and I, especially my 9-year-old who is completely obsessed with cats, thoroughly enjoyed the story of the siblings' exciting adventures in both the city and the countryside.

The tales are filled with charm and wonder, taking the readers on a journey that combines the familiar with the extraordinary. The characters are well-developed, and their relationships add depth to the narrative. Overall, the Catwings series is a delightful read that offers something for both children and adults alike.

This is the final installment of the four illustrated books in the Catwings Series. The illustrations within this book are truly beautiful and they perfectly complement the story.

Jane, the main character, is feeling bored and decides to embark on an adventure. However, she is met with hostility, fear, and derision from nearly every other species she encounters. They hate anything that is different.

\\"Did having wings mean she had to be lonely?\\" This thought plagues Jane. A crow tells her that she should be on TV, so she believes she can find a friend in the city. She flies into a room where a man, her Poppa, lures her with food, closes the window, calls her Baby, and soon begins to exploit \\"Miss Mystery\\" the flying cat.

Fed up with this treatment, Jane manages to escape and returns to see her mother, who lives with a kind older lady.

This book serves as a fitting conclusion to the Cat Wings series. The lessons it imparts are those of gratitude, temperance, acceptance, and compromise. It shows that it is possible to have what you want, within reason, if you are patient and understanding. For every bad person in the world, there are also good people. The last few paragraphs of the book were so beautifully written that they brought a tear to my eye. I'm really going to miss reading about these magical cats with wings.

The fourth and final Catwings story takes the spotlight on Jane as she bravely sets out to discover her own path.

In the previous three books, Jane has had a remarkable character arc. She was rescued from the abandoned building, which was the starting point of her journey. Then, she helped Alexander and found her voice, gradually healing from the trauma she had endured. Now, she has become confident enough to seek and find joy in her life.

The kids and I are all truly in love with the Catwings. These stories are not only super short but also accompanied by lovely illustrations that enhance the overall charm. I highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys heartwarming tales and beautiful art.

They are a great addition to any bookshelf and are sure to bring a smile to the faces of readers of all ages.

Flying cats? What's not to like?

This short and charming tale truly captured the hearts of my girls and me.

The very idea of cats being able to take flight is both magical and fascinating.

As we read through the story, we were immediately drawn into a world where these feline friends could soar through the sky with ease.

The vivid descriptions and imaginative plot made it a joy to follow along.

We found ourselves completely immersed in the adventures of the flying cats, eagerly turning each page to see what would happen next.

This tale not only entertained us but also sparked our creativity and imagination.

It made us dream of a world where the impossible was possible and where anything could happen.

Overall, it was a delightful read that we will surely remember for a long time to come.
