After having gained confidence in the last book, Jane is currently bored on the farm. As a result, she decides to set off on an adventure. However, to her surprise, she discovers that the human world can be just as perilous as her siblings had cautioned her.

The art in this particular story was especially remarkable. It added a new dimension to the narrative, bringing the scenes and characters to life in a vivid and engaging way. The detailed illustrations captured the essence of each moment, making it easier for the reader to immerse themselves in the story.

Overall, despite the initial boredom on the farm, Jane's adventure into the human world proves to be both exciting and eye-opening. And the outstanding art further enhances the reading experience, making this book a truly enjoyable and memorable one.

A cute, absurd, and delightful little story that I discovered in the library discards some time ago. It was like a hidden gem waiting to be unearthed. The story had a charm of its own, filled with unexpected twists and turns that kept me engaged from start to finish.

The characters were vividly described, and their actions and dialogues added to the overall absurdity of the plot. It was a refreshing break from the ordinary, transporting me to a world where anything was possible.

As I read through the story, I couldn't help but smile and sometimes even laugh out loud. It was one of those rare finds that made my time in the library truly worthwhile. I'm glad I took the chance and picked up this little gem from the discards.

I read the first two Catwings books a long time ago when I was little. It was a wonderful experience that left a deep impression on me. Just recently, I found out that there are two more books in the series that I never read. This discovery made me extremely excited, as I had loved reading the two that I had over and over again so many years ago. I knew I had to fix that immediately.

These books are super cute. The characters are charming and the stories are full of imagination. The art in the books is also very good, which adds to the overall appeal. The story is perfect for small children, as it can capture their attention and spark their creativity. It also has the potential to make more cat lovers, as the cats in the books are so可爱.

In conclusion, I highly recommend these books to anyone who loves cats or enjoys reading cute stories. They are a great addition to any bookshelf and are sure to bring joy to readers of all ages. 5/5 stars.

I'm truly a little bit sad that Alexander has let himself go. It's disheartening to see someone who once had so much potential and promise now seemingly losing their way. However, on the other hand, perhaps this is also a form of growth and self-discovery. Maybe by hitting rock bottom, Alexander will be able to find his true self and what really matters to him.

Sometimes, we need to go through difficult times in order to appreciate the good ones. And although it may be painful to watch Alexander struggle, we can only hope that he will learn from his experiences and come out stronger on the other side.

In the end, only time will tell what the future holds for Alexander. But for now, we can offer our support and encouragement and hope that he will find his way back to a path of happiness and fulfillment.

I have a great affection for the concept of the story and the happenings within it.

Nonetheless, the style strikes me as being a touch stilted.

It gives me pain to express this, considering that Ursula K. Le Guin is one of my all-time favorite authors.

In this particular book, I had the impression that she was condescending to the readers, and this truly bothered me.

Her works usually have a certain charm and depth that draw me in, but in this case, that special magic seemed to be lacking.

Perhaps it was an off day for her or a different approach she was trying out, but unfortunately, it didn't quite work for me.

Despite this, I still have a great deal of respect for her as an author and look forward to reading more of her works in the future, hoping to rediscover that spark that made me fall in love with her writing in the first place.

The youngest of the Catwings, Jane, experiences a series of adventures. Bored at the safe farm, she ventures into the woods and ultimately returns to the city of her birth. There, she discovers that not all humans are like those who care for her siblings at the farm. Captured and put on display as Miss Mystery, she manages to escape and finds happiness sharing the care of an elderly woman with her mother.

This story shows that not everyone can be satisfied with the same things. Jane is neither a typical country cat nor necessarily a city cat. Instead, she loves to travel and explore. It's about taking risks to find what makes an individual happy, even if there are stumbles and problems along the way.

Overall, it's a cute story that teaches a very subtle yet important lesson. It reminds us that we all have our own unique paths and desires, and we should be brave enough to pursue them.

These are truly so simple, cute, and heartfelt.

In this particular story, Jane discovers the best of both worlds. She manages to find a balance that allows her to experience different aspects of life.

Moreover, she ultimately attains her own sense of freedom. This freedom gives her the ability to be herself and pursue her dreams without any hindrances.

And, before, I was filled with a great deal of fear. I was afraid that they would never see their mother again. The thought of that was truly terrifying.

But, fortunately, that's not the case! Phew. What a relief it is to know that everyone is happy in the end.

This kind of happy ending is exactly what I need more of in my life. It gives me hope and makes me believe that good things can happen.

It shows that no matter how difficult the situation may seem at first, there is always a possibility of a positive outcome.

Overall, these stories have a certain charm that keeps me engaged and longing for more.

When I delved into "Catwings Return", Jane the kitten instantly became my favorite character. Well, perhaps second favorite, as I have a soft spot for a flying cat named Harriet. This curiosity led me to pick up "Jane on Her Own" by Ursula K. Le Guin.

In this book, Jane simply doesn't belong at the farm. She is restless, nervous, and skittish. Deciding to return to the city of her birth, she aims to confront her fears and discover her forever home.

Once in the city, she embarks on a new life as "Miss Mystery". The book blurb mentions that the man she lives with "keeps her prisoner" and "exploits her for money". True, he trains her to flaunt her flying talent and makes money from their shows, but to me, he didn't seem like a bad person.

However, Jane's ultimate redemption doesn't lie in her show business life. It comes with her wingless mother. Finally, she can face her fears and move forward to find a forever home for both herself and her mother.

What troubles me the most about this book, though, is Jane's stuttering. When I first "met" her, I thought her "HATE HATE HATE" was just typical kittenish talk. After all, if a kitten could talk, why not like that? But in "Jane on Her Own", her simplistic talking is described more as a response to her difficult kittenhood. After all the bravery she showed in the previous book, this aspect seemed out of character for her.

I borrowed this book from the library.

Rather sad as this is the last of the Catwings books. It feels a bittersweet moment, knowing that this wonderful series is coming to an end. However, despite the tinge of sadness, this final installment was still just as charming and delightful as the other three.

The story continued to unfold in a magical and enchanting way. The catwings, with their unique abilities and endearing personalities, once again captured my heart. Their adventures and misadventures were filled with excitement and heartwarming moments.

Author Ursula K. Le Guin has truly created a captivating world that will be missed. The Catwings books have been a joy to read, and this last one is no exception. It serves as a fitting conclusion to a wonderful series, leaving readers with a sense of satisfaction and a longing for more.

Jane on Her Own is the fourth and final installment in the charming children's series, Catwings, penned by the talented Ursula K. Le Guin. I have been delving deep into her work, and truly, if I were to create a formal bucket list of authors whose entire body of work I渴望阅读, she would most definitely be on it. The Catwings series is a delightful and quick collection of four books that revolve around a family of, as you might have guessed, cats with wings. This final book shines the spotlight on the youngest catwing, Jane, a little black cat who became a part of the family in the second book.

Jane has grown tired of her idyllic life on the farm with her family and also Alexander, a wingless cat who joined the group in the third book. Yearning for adventure, she decides to head to the city where her mother lives. (Her mother, by the way, is wingless.) However, on her journey, she is captured by an old man. While he treats her very well, his motives are less than pure as he wants to profit from her unique wings. She is confined to his room as he parades her in front of cameramen and news reporters, all for the sake of making money.

This is not at all the adventure that Jane had in mind, and she is becoming increasingly frustrated. So, what unfolds next? Well, since this is the last book, I'll leave it to you to discover by checking out the series for yourself. It's one of those wonderful series that is perfect for igniting children's love for reading. So, go ahead and enjoy the enchanting world of the Catwings. (3.0 stars)

So sweet!

Why can't cats fly?! This is such an interesting and curious question.

Cats are known for their agility and grace on the ground, but the idea of them taking to the skies is quite a stretch.

Perhaps it's because nature has designed them to be excellent hunters and climbers on solid surfaces.

However, the thought of a flying cat is still quite charming and makes for great imagination.

I love the illustrations that accompany this question.

The detailed and colorful images bring the concept of a flying cat to life in a fun and whimsical way.

They add an extra layer of charm and appeal to the whole idea.

Whether it's a cat with wings or a cat floating through the air in a magical way, the illustrations make it all seem possible.

It's this kind of creativity and imagination that makes us love cats even more.
