Problems:

1) Ugly art: The visual presentation of the work may not be aesthetically pleasing, lacking in artistic charm and finesse.

2) Dumb characters: The characters in the story may come across as unintelligent or lacking in depth, making it difficult for the audience to fully engage with them.

3) Too much melodrama: There may be an overabundance of emotional and exaggerated scenes, which can make the story seem contrived and overly sentimental.

4) Too long (as in the series): The length of the work, especially in the case of a series, may be excessive, causing the audience to lose interest or become fatigued.

It's not really a happy story. Domyouji is not a great guy. Rui is a little too impassive. If you want a better version, watch the drama (the Japanese live-action one). It offers a more engaging and well-developed narrative, with more complex and relatable characters. The visual style is also more appealing, and the pacing is better, making it a more enjoyable viewing experience overall.

I remember seeing this around a lot, but I was never really interested.

However, I finally picked this up because one of my coworkers really hates this series and all the remakes. So, out of curiosity, I had to know lol.

In my opinion, it's a very typical 90s/early 2000s shoujo. The story and the characters have that classic charm and style that was popular during that era.

It's pretty ridiculous though, with its exaggerated emotions and sometimes over-the-top plotlines. But despite that, I'm entertained.

The characters are engaging, and the story has enough twists and turns to keep me interested. So, I'll probably read more of it.

I'm curious to see where the story will go and how the characters will develop. Maybe I'll end up loving this series as much as my coworker hates it. Who knows? Only time will tell.

This is just an incredibly awesome series and an all-time favorite of mine.

When I first picked it up, I have to admit that I wasn't overly crazy about the artwork. In fact, it almost deterred me from reading what turned out to be one of the best shojo manga series available.

The story is truly amazing. It's about a poor girl who has the courage to attend a rich school. There, she unfortunately gets bullied by the F4, a group of elite and rather intimidating guys.

I absolutely love how strong-willed Tsukasa is. She's such a fighter and doesn't back down easily. The way the story unfolds is also captivating. You initially think that one person will be the romantic lead, but it turns out to be someone else entirely. This other character is more flawed, but ultimately, he's highly entertaining and, surprisingly, a really good choice for her.

This is a great, great series. I cannot recommend it highly enough! However, it does have 36 volumes, which can be a bit overwhelming. Yikes!

Endearing, slap-sticky, and a teeny bit tacky.

These are the words that come to mind when describing something that has a certain charm. It might be a small trinket, a cheesy love song, or a slightly over-the-top gesture.

But it's precisely this combination of qualities that makes it so endearing. The slap-sticky nature gives it a sense of playfulness and lightheartedness, while the teeny bit of tackiness adds a touch of authenticity and imperfection.

It's not trying to be something it's not; it's just being itself, flaws and all. And that's what makes it so可爱 (lovable).

Whether it's a gift from a loved one or a memory that brings a smile to your face, these endearing, slap-sticky, and a teeny bit tacky things have a special place in our hearts.

They remind us that life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful, and that sometimes, the simplest things can bring the most joy.

So the next time you come across something that's a little bit cheesy or a little bit too much, don't be too quick to dismiss it.

Embrace its endearing qualities and let it bring a little bit of warmth and happiness into your life.

After all, in a world that can often be cold and impersonal, these small moments of charm and authenticity are what make life truly worth living.

The first volume of this series wasn't exactly the best, but I have to say that I'm truly enjoying the second one! This series is really captivating and engaging. I find all the characters to be quite interesting. In particular, the main character stands out. She is extremely fierce and has a strong personality. She simply doesn't allow people to push her around or treat her disrespectfully.

It's refreshing to see a character with such determination and strength. I can't wait to see what else she'll do and how the story will unfold in the remaining volumes.

The stakes are extremely high in this situation, yet the brain cell count seems to be disappointingly low. It's as if the importance of the matter at hand is inversely proportional to the cognitive ability available to deal with it.

We find ourselves in a predicament where the consequences of our actions or decisions can have a significant impact, and yet our mental faculties seem to be operating at a subpar level.

Perhaps it's due to stress, fatigue, or a combination of various factors. But whatever the cause, it's clear that we need to find a way to boost our brain power and rise to the occasion.

Otherwise, we risk making costly mistakes or failing to take advantage of valuable opportunities. It's time to wake up those dormant brain cells and start thinking more clearly and strategically.

The story of Tsukushi Makino is truly captivating. She hails from a middle-class family, and her mother enrolls her in an elite high school. The reason behind this is to compete with the families from her husband's company.

At Eitoku, Tsukushi encounters the F4, a group of four young men who are the children of Japan's wealthiest families. They are known for bullying anyone who crosses their path.

After Tsukushi defends a classmate, the F4 turns their attention to her. However, they are in for a big surprise as Tsukushi decides to fight back.

This is the first volume of a classic manga series that I have been eager to read for some time. And finally, I managed to get my hands on it. I can't wait to immerse myself in the world of Tsukushi and the F4 and see how their story unfolds.

Boys over Flowers is a Manga that has captured my heart. I have devoured the book up to volume 33 and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of book #34.

It is a captivating Japanese story that revolves around a rich boy and a very poor girl. At the beginning, their mutual hatred is palpable. However, as the story progresses, they gradually start to develop feelings for each other.

This is where the conflicts begin to unfold. The boy's mother discovers their relationship and makes the girl and her family endure great suffering. Despite all the obstacles and hardships, the two lovers remain deeply in love with each other.

Additionally, the boy is part of a group called F4, and everyone in Japan is crazy about them. All four members of F4 are extremely wealthy. I am truly desperate for the next book and cannot wait to read it as soon as possible.

I am on the edge of my seat, eagerly anticipating the next installment of this thrilling Manga.

I just know the name *花より団子*. Before reading it, I thought it was just a TV drama. However, when I read it for the first time, I fell in love with Domyoji like Tsukusi did, even though I'm a man. I mean, he is really very attractive. His charm is irresistible. I envy him so much. The story is full of excitement and romance. It takes the readers on a thrilling journey.

The characters are well-developed and the plot is engaging. You can't help but get hooked from the very beginning. It's not just a story about love, but also about growth and self-discovery.

Everyone can definitely enjoy this. It has something for everyone, whether you're a fan of romance or just looking for a good read. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience a wonderful story.

Let me introduce you to my all-time favorite manga. I've read every single book in the series, though I only own the first five in paperback. I plan to change that as these books are truly reread worthy. There are multiple C-dramas, K-dramas, J-dramas, and an anime based on it for a reason.

It's just that good.

First, I have to put my feminist principles aside. Even though the heroine is one of the strongest in shoujo manga, the series and its adaptations are super rapey. The relationship between the hero and the heroine, as well as with other girls and guys, is extremely toxic and many would consider it abusive, with lots of slut-shaming and girl-on-girl shaming.

I'm not even sorry.

Well, on one level I am. But the story is so cracktastic and the manga is so nostalgic for me. I admit that I'm trash for this series and these characters. We all have those problematic faves that we know not to emulate but like anyway, and this is one of mine. I first read it in high school, buying the series with my own money or earning them by doing chores. It's like the "OG Bully Romance" with a touch of "poor girl/rich guy," which is even more cracktastic than it should be.

Tsukishi Makino is a poor girl with working-class parents who sacrificed to send her to the private Eitoku Academy. They hope she'll network and maybe find a rich boyfriend. At the school, bullying and classism are rampant. The four most popular and wealthiest boys, Mimasaka, Nishikado, Domyoji, and Hanazawa, call themselves the F4. They have so much power that not even the faculty opposes them. When Tsukishi defends a classmate, she gets red-slipped. But she doesn't back down and fights back in clever ways. It's hard not to root for her, especially in today's influencer and social media culture.

While rereading, I thought about how this series would be if modernized. I also considered the numerous attempted rapes and rape threats and how they relate to today's #MeToo culture. Would the F4 still get away with their actions in today's more aware culture?

Obviously, this manga isn't for everyone, but I love the drama. Domyoji has influenced many of my male characters in my published works. The dynamic between the strong, underdog female character and the rich, overprivileged male tyrant in a romance is just so compelling. Anyone willing to temporarily set aside their feminist principles for some glorious drama will love this.

Also, the incredibly dated 90s hair, makeup, and fashions! (Feathered bangs everywhere!) YAAAAAASS

It's really boring. I initially embarked on this journey because it was highly recommended by someone. However, as I delved deeper into it, I found that it's just not very interesting, or perhaps not interesting at all. The story seems to lack the necessary elements to captivate my attention. The characters are not developed enough, and the plot is rather平淡无奇. I keep reading, hoping that something exciting will happen, but so far, my hopes have been dashed. I'm starting to wonder if I should just give up on this and move on to something else. But then again, I don't want to be a quitter. I'll probably continue for a while longer, but I'm not holding my breath for a sudden turnaround in its quality.

I know that this is a girl manga series that is filled to the brim with eye-rolling cliches. It has so much cheesiness that it could potentially smuggle you to death. However, despite all of this, the many volumes that I had once read are still highly entertaining.

There is something about the storylines, the characters, and the art that keeps drawing me in. Maybe it's the predictability of it all, or perhaps it's the fact that it provides a nice escape from reality. Whatever the reason, I can't help but enjoy reading these manga volumes.

Even though I know what's going to happen next, I still find myself eagerly turning the pages, waiting to see how the story will unfold. And when I finish a volume, I always find myself looking forward to the next one.

So, while this girl manga series may not be the most original or thought-provoking thing out there, it still manages to bring a smile to my face and provide me with some much-needed entertainment.
