This is truly getting better and better.

It has everything that one could ever hope for from a series.

Gah! Watching Hikaru and Akira play was so intense.

The moment when Akira sensed who Sai was gave me goosebumps.

It was truly thrilling.

And Hikaru's dream in the end was equally amazing.

Actually, that one almost made me cry.

It was so touching and beautiful.

This series is full of such wonderful stuff that keeps pulling me in and making me eager to watch more.

It's like a magical world that I can't get enough of.

Every episode brings new surprises and emotions, and I'm completely hooked.

I can't wait to see what else this series has in store for me.

This is probably the point in the series,

where the phrase "Too bad it didn't end here" seems to be the most apt.

It's here where all the major threads of this series seem to resolve itself nicely: Sai's disappearance, Shindo's maturity, and Shindo's rivalry with Toya.

But I guess, in the end, if a series were to end at their natural potential, then publishers wouldn't be able to sell as many volumes as they'd like.

Unfortunately, it's as if this volume was filled with unnecessary 'padding', that really had nothing to do with the main plot of the series.

Most were of the same theme of "the next generation" which segued to the buildup for the next (and final) arc of the series, the Junior Cup.

It's a shame really, because up until this point, the story had been so engaging and well-developed.

The characters had grown and changed in such interesting ways, and the plot had been full of twists and turns.

But now, it feels like the author is just trying to stretch out the story for the sake of selling more volumes.

I hope that the final arc of the series will be able to bring everything together in a satisfying way and not disappoint fans who have been following the story for so long.

**Title: 4 Stars**

The concept of 4 stars holds significant meaning in various aspects of our lives. In the world of reviews and ratings, 4 stars is often considered a very good score. It indicates that a product, service, or experience has met a high standard and has many positive qualities. For example, a 4-star hotel offers comfortable accommodations, excellent service, and a range of amenities. A 4-star restaurant serves delicious food, has a pleasant atmosphere, and provides good value for money.

However, 4 stars is not perfect. It leaves room for improvement and shows that there are still some areas that could be enhanced. This could be something as small as a minor flaw in a product or a slight delay in service. But overall, a 4-star rating is a great achievement and something to be proud of.

In conclusion, 4 stars is a symbol of quality and excellence. It represents a balance between meeting expectations and having the potential for further growth and development. Whether it's a business striving for a high rating or a consumer looking for a great experience, 4 stars is a goal worth aiming for.

Oof! Hotta-Sensei is truly not holding back in the last volumes.

It's amazing how deeply I feel connected to these characters.

I'm extremely proud of Hikaru for summoning the courage within himself to start playing again.

And it makes me so happy that finally, after all this time, everyone is acknowledging him as Akira's rival.

Even though I still have a little ways to go in reading, I just can't help but wonder how this manga will come to an end.

Will there be a final showdown between Hikaru and Akira?

Or will there be some unexpected twists and turns that I haven't even imagined?

The anticipation is killing me!

I can't wait to see how the story unfolds and what the future holds for these beloved characters.

No matter what happens, I'm sure it's going to be an unforgettable ending.

Hikaru's comeback and his big duel with Touya is truly a remarkable event.

It seems as if this could potentially be the ending of the story. The anticipation and excitement surrounding this encounter are palpable.

Hikaru has worked hard to reach this point, and his determination is evident.

Touya, on the other hand, is a formidable opponent, known for his skill and strategic thinking.

The outcome of this duel is anyone's guess, and it will surely have a significant impact on both of their lives.

However, despite the excitement of this moment, the stuff with Sai still leaves a bitter taste.

Sai's departure was a difficult pill to swallow for many fans, and his presence is still deeply missed.

Nonetheless, Hikaru's journey continues, and this duel with Touya is just another chapter in his story.

We can only wait and see what the future holds for Hikaru and how he will fare in this crucial battle.

EVERY. SINGLE. WORD. IN. CHAPTER 148. MAKES. ME. CRY.

The go you play is your everything.

It will never change, and that's okay.

Maybe I'll talk to you about it someday.

When it disappears, what kind of feeling will it be? It would be nice if you were smiling.

I CAN'T SPEAK JAPANESE BUT U BET UR ASS I CAN RECITE HIKARU NO GO CHAPTER 148 TO YOU WORD FOR WORD.

This chapter holds such deep emotions that it brings tears to my eyes with each word. The connection between the character and the game of go is so profound, as if it defines their very essence. The idea that something can be so important and unchanging in a person's life is both beautiful and bittersweet. The thought of one day losing that connection and wondering how it will feel adds an extra layer of poignancy. And although I don't understand Japanese, my ability to recite this chapter word for word shows just how much it has touched me.

Hikaru and Akira have their first real match together.

According to Go Weekly, there's a new "tsunami wave" of young Pro players emerging: Akira Toya, Hikaru Shindo, Ochi, Waya, and Isumi.

The future of Go in Japan for them is full of possibilities.

Hikaru dreams of Sai, and in his dream, Sai hands him his fan.

This fan seems to hold a special significance for Hikaru.

It could be a symbol of Sai's legacy and the connection between them.

As Hikaru continues his journey in the world of Go, he may carry the spirit of Sai with him.

The presence of Sai within Hikaru might give him the strength and inspiration to face the challenges ahead.

With the arrival of this new generation of talented players, the Go scene in Japan is set to become even more exciting and competitive.

Only time will tell what the future holds for Hikaru and his fellow Pro players.

Will they reach new heights and bring glory to the game of Go in Japan?

Only time will tell.

The only truly significant event that occurs in this volume is that Hikaru finally plays against Akira in a professional match. This is their first genuine game since they first became fixated on each other, and it's the first game since Hikaru truly embarked on the path of go. In fact, it's their first real game ever, considering that Sai was actually playing for most of their first encounter.

Surrounding this match, there is a great deal of fillerchatter from the journalists of Go Weekly. They discuss the "rising tide" of new go players. There are also some updates on older characters. Toyo Sensei signs a contract to play in the Chinese league, and Hong, the Korean go prodigy Hikaru played against several volumes ago, is now a rising pro in Korea. Additionally, there's an adorable scene where Hikaru almost flirts with Akari. He invites her back to his house to play a game of go. What a smooth ladies' man!

The volume concludes with a dream in which Hikaru meets Sai one last time.

If this were the end of the series, I would say it was a rather nice conclusion. In fact, it reads as if Yumi Hotta actually intended to end the series here.

However, I know there are actually six more volumes. So, will the rest be anti-climactic? Only time will tell.

I rate this volume 4.5 stars because the filler was indeed filler, and the emotional build-up to a final resolution seems somewhat wasted when the series actually continues.

Playing against Isumi is a significant moment for Hikaru. It dawns on him that Sai is now within his Go. If he desires to catch a glimpse of Sai, even just a shadow, he has no choice but to play. And that's precisely what he does, and he goes on to win. There are whispers of a Japan-China-Korea Junior Cup, and players like Akira, Hikaru, and Ochi are considered Japan's best hopes. Meanwhile, Hikaru has his first match against Akira in two years and four months.

Hikaru loses the match, but it's a remarkable one. Akira detects Sai in Hikaru's game, which leads Hikaru to hint that he might one day reveal the entire story of what happened to him. That night, Hikaru dreams of Sai.

This volume is somewhat slow-paced. I grew a bit weary of the older dudes discussing the up-and-coming youngsters. However, the beginning was outstanding. Witnessing Hikaru cry and understand that he must play to see Sai was powerful. If I were Isumi, Hikaru's behavior would have made me think there was a death in his family. The ending was also wonderful, with Sai silently passing his fan to Hikaru.

I adored that Akira could perceive Sai in Hikaru's playing style while still appreciating Hikaru as an individual player. He is no longer pursuing Hikaru because of the player he assumes him to be (Sai) but truly seeing him for who he is. If my memory serves me right, this is where the anime concluded (excluding the special), and it's a lovely stopping point for those who adored Hikaru and Akira and also deeply cherished (and miss) Sai.

Hikaru has understood that Sai has never really left, but lives within his Go. Even though it is his and his alone, as Akira says when they finally play together for the first time after many years.

Shindo bids farewell to Sai forever, in a dream, where he gifts him his fan. I believe we will not see him again.

Meanwhile, the new wave of Go has finally arrived and in the next volumes, it will descend, marking the end of this long adventure.

Perhaps this is the natural progression of things. The story of Hikaru and Sai has been a remarkable one, filled with passion, growth, and the beauty of the game of Go.

As we look forward to what lies ahead in the remaining volumes, we can only wonder what new challenges and experiences Hikaru will face.

Will he continue to improve and become an even greater Go player? Or will he encounter new obstacles that will test his resolve?

Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure – the world of Go has been forever changed by the journey of Hikaru and Sai.
