The epic conclusion to Sai and Toyo Meijin and its shocking aftermath are explored in Hikaru no Go's fourteenth volume.

There isn't much that can be said without revealing major spoilers. However, it's safe to say that the resolution feels truly earned and satisfying. Sai, after the match, comes to some profound realizations about his purpose.

I really like the direction the series is taking. As previous volumes have emphasized, it now focuses on the "next generation" of go players. This adds a new layer of excitement and anticipation.

Overall, Volume 14 is yet another excellent addition to a series that has continuously set a high standard for itself. It keeps the readers engaged and eager to see what will happen next in the world of Hikaru no Go.

It's a must-read for fans of the series and those interested in the fascinating world of go.

A solid continuation indeed! In volume 13, Shindo arranges for an internet Go game between Sai and Toya Meijin. This volume then showcases the actual play of that game. For me, the most fascinating moment occurs when Shindo experiences a remarkable moment of growth following that internet game.

Moreover, Shindo engages in a "friendly" match with Kanata-san, which is not a tournament. When they discover that both sets of stones left by the board are white, they play "colorless go." The game ebbs and flows, and if we accept that it is being played at the level the story intends the reader to believe, it is particularly impressive. But how? How does one track all that? Keep it straight in one's head? Score it? I have no idea. But then again...despite reading this manga, I still haven't figured out Go. Oh well.

It's truly captivating to see the development of the characters and the intricacies of the Go games unfold in this series. The author does a great job of making the story engaging and the Go matches exciting, even for those who may not fully understand the game.

This volume is entirely dedicated to the highly anticipated game between Sai and Toya Koyo!

Surprisingly, it's not the game itself that occupies the whole volume, but rather the consequences that follow.

There is a distinct transformation in both players, as well as in Hikaru and the rest of the professional go world.

Everyone had their eyes fixed on this event, and the ripples are just beginning to manifest.

Hikaru is no longer just an observer of this game; he is someone who is finally starting to fathom that level of play.

And as this series progresses, there is bound to be a significant alteration in how he conducts himself.

After all, his very first professional match concluded with a no-show/forfeit, and now he has a real career ahead of him that he must confront head-on.

It will be fascinating to see how Hikaru evolves and grows in the face of these new challenges and experiences.

The stage is set for an exciting journey of self-discovery and growth for Hikaru and the other characters in this captivating story.

3.5★ Another growth spurt! That's good, but why doesn't Sai directly tell his anxiety to Hikaru? It's painful for our readers. T_T Although I don't want to read about Sai's fate, I still have to continue~

Anime-manga match-up:

Ep 56 = vol 14 up to pg 71 (Games 114-116)

Ep 57 = vol 14 pgs 75-115 (Games 117-118)

Ep 58 = vol 14 pgs 118-161 (Games 119-120)

1st half of ep 59 = vol 14 pgs 163-end (Game 121)

The story seems to be taking an interesting turn with another growth spurt. However, Sai's inability to express his anxiety directly to Hikaru leaves the readers in a state of discomfort. We are all eager to know what will happen next, especially regarding Sai's fate. Despite our reluctance, we have no choice but to keep reading. The anime-manga match-up provides a useful guide for those who want to follow the story in both formats. Each episode corresponds to specific pages in the manga, allowing for a seamless transition between the two. This makes it easier for fans to compare and contrast the different interpretations and enjoy the story to the fullest.

So good.

I finally got around to finishing this volume. It is truly a remarkable experience.

As I delved deeper into its pages, I discovered that it is a lot better than I initially remembered.

The story unfolds in a captivating manner, with rich characters and a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

The author's writing style is engaging and flows smoothly, making it a pleasure to read.

Each chapter brings new surprises and revelations, adding depth and complexity to the overall narrative.

I found myself completely immersed in the world created by the author, and before I knew it, I had reached the end of the volume.

It left me with a sense of satisfaction and a longing for more.

This volume is definitely a must-read for anyone who enjoys a good story.

I highly recommend it.
