How fast can you get good at something?

This is a question that many people ask themselves when they embark on a new skill or hobby. The answer, of course, depends on a variety of factors.

Firstly, the complexity of the task at hand plays a significant role. Some skills are relatively simple and can be mastered quickly, while others require years of practice and dedication.

Secondly, the individual's prior experience and natural aptitude also come into play. Those who have a related background or a natural talent for a particular area may progress more rapidly.

Additionally, the amount of time and effort投入 into learning is crucial. Consistent practice and a willingness to learn from mistakes are essential for improvement.

In conclusion, while there is no set timeframe for becoming good at something, by considering these factors and putting in the necessary work, anyone can make significant progress towards achieving their goals.

The insei arc is perhaps the most memorable phase of this series.

The reader has the opportunity to deeply immerse themselves in the world of go, right alongside Hikaru. What makes it so memorable is that the stories incorporating aspects of the game are written in an accessible manner.

Even though you won't necessarily become a go player after reading, it definitely gives you the urge to give the game a try yourself.

The main plot clearly focuses on Hikaru's growth as a go player, but the side plots involving Akira and the rest of the cast are equally interesting and contribute to making this series a more well-rounded story.

It's not just about Hikaru's journey; it's about the entire community of go players and the relationships they form.

The insei arc truly showcases the beauty and complexity of the game of go, as well as the personal growth and development of the characters.

It's a captivating and engaging part of the series that keeps readers hooked from start to finish.

Hikaru makes his way to the A League and becomes eligible to participate in the Young Lions Tournament.

Unfortunately, he fails to emerge victorious in the first round. Had he won, he would have had the opportunity to go up against Akira Toya.

Nevertheless, for the majority of the game, he manages to hold his own against his opponent. In fact, only three Inseis were able to secure wins in the first round.

The Pro test is set to commence in the summer. It will be interesting to observe how they all perform and what the outcome will be.

We can only wait and see as Hikaru and the others continue their journey in the world of Go.

Fine Storyline! Fine Artwork!

This is a review by Barbara Kelley. Hikaru has finally achieved an outstanding feat. He managed to reach #16 in the Insei A League. This remarkable accomplishment qualified him to participate in the highly competitive Young Lion's Tournament. In this tournament, the top 16 Insei get the opportunity to play against the top 16 Pros. Unfortunately, in the first round, Hikaru faces defeat. However, his game catches the attention of Akira Toya and Ogata 9 Dan. Akira arrives at the end of the game and is confused as to how Hikaru lost by only 6 1/2 points. Ogata then reveals to Akira that he will truly discover the strength of Hikaru when they play against each other in the Pro Exams. Overall, Barbara Kelley is highly impressed with this episode and gives it a well-deserved 5 stars. The storyline is engaging and full of excitement, and the artwork is also of high quality, adding to the overall enjoyment of the viewing experience.

This story is like comfort food for me.

I find myself constantly rereading or rewatching it, along with the anime. There's something about it that I just can't quite put my finger on. Maybe it's the way the story unfolds, or the characters that draw me in.

My interest in Go definitely plays a role as well. The strategic and intellectual aspect of the game is fascinating, and seeing it brought to life in the story adds another layer of depth.

But what I really like about this story is that it's generally a positive one. It's about a character who discovers a passion and works hard to get good at it. It's inspiring to see someone pursue their dreams and overcome obstacles along the way.

Overall, this story and the anime have a special place in my heart, and I know I'll continue to come back to them time and time again.

Hikaru's growth is truly impressive.

It is amazing to see how far he has come in such a short period of time. However, as with any journey of growth, there are also setbacks.

The reason for some of his stumbling has now come to light, and it is interesting to see how he will overcome these obstacles.

I wonder just how quickly he will be able to rise again and continue his upward trajectory.

Despite the setbacks, this volume is still a solid one that truly makes you want to play the game of "Go".

The story is engaging and exciting, and the characters are well-developed and likable.

Thank you, Yumi Hotta, Takeshi Obata, and Yukari Umezawa, for another great volume!

I can't wait to see what the future holds for Hikaru and the world of "Go".

F HOT

hng

vol. 7

This is a rather brief and perhaps somewhat mysterious set of notations. It could potentially refer to a variety of things. Maybe "F HOT" is an abbreviation or a code for a particular concept, group, or activity. The "hng" could be an additional note or an abbreviation that further clarifies or modifies the meaning of "F HOT".

And the "vol. 7" might indicate that this is part of a series or volume number 7. It could be related to a magazine, a research project, a collection of data, or something else entirely. Without more context, it's difficult to determine the exact meaning and significance of these notations. However, they do pique the curiosity and make one wonder what lies behind them.

Perhaps further investigation or additional information would reveal the true nature and purpose of "F HOT", "hng", and "vol. 7". It could lead to new discoveries, interesting connections, or a better understanding of a particular subject or field.

I'm still thoroughly enjoying this series. Hikaru Shindo, the young protagonist, keeps ascending in the go world.

On one hand, I can see that this series isn't all that different from Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh or other such seemingly silly children's series about a boy prodigy on a quest to be the BEST EVAH!!! However, what makes this one truly compelling is that it's based on a real game with real institutions, and the events, albeit just barely, are plausible. That, along with the go itself, which seriously makes me want to dust off my go books and start playing again.

In volume 7, Hikaru has reached the Insei ranks. He discovers there's a "Young Lions" tournament in three months, where the top Inseis will face off evenly against the most recent players who made the pro ranks. This, of course, includes Hikaru's "rival," Akira Toya. Despite Toya's denials, it's clear he's still as fixated on Hikaru as Hikaru is determined to catch up to him.

Unfortunately, Hikaru is still in the "B league" among the Inseis. To participate in the Young Lions tournament, he must reach 16th place in the "A league." Will he manage it? Well, there wouldn't be much of a story if the hero always remained in the same position, now would there?

There are several memorable moments in this volume. Sai realizes that Hikaru is losing all his games because he's learned to be afraid. As he tells Hikaru, "You used to play against me in ignorance. But gradually, you are developing the insight needed to see the edge of my blade." It's a great segment that serves as a metaphor for the mental barriers one must overcome to progress in life. Truly, this children's manga about a go-playing thirteen-year-old, like go itself, is filled with hidden meaning.

There's also another nice, subtle moment when Hikaru makes a bad move during a tournament, causing Sai to wince. But then he manages to turn it to his advantage. So even though Hikaru is still relatively low on the go totem pole, we can see him slowly advancing.

The side plot about Haze Middle School go club's attempts to get Yuki to come back seems rather pointless. Hikaru is hardly involved with them anymore. I liked the brash jock girl Kaneko, but of course, she still loses to Yuki. I'm a bit annoyed that the author insists on depicting all female go players as ditzy and ineffective against any male player.

All in all, not my favorite volume in the series, but still a pretty good one.

I feel truly sorry for Sai. He is a ghost, and he can only interact with Hikaru, not being able to play against or even talk to anyone else.

It seems to me that his character and the supernatural element are somewhat underutilized in this story. The narrative focuses so intensively on Hikaru and Akiru that there is scarcely any room for the growth of other characters.

Additionally, I really miss the side characters from Hikaru's school go club. Their plot thread was unfortunately left aside, and now their presence no longer contributes anything significant to the overall story.

Nevertheless, I am still deriving enjoyment from this manga. However, I had been hoping for a greater depth in the characters. I had expected more exploration of their inner worlds and more complex character developments. It would have been nice to see how the other characters evolved and how they interacted with the main storyline. Despite these shortcomings, the manga still has its charm and keeps me engaged.
