Dr. Ben Carson's remarkable journey serves as a powerful source of inspiration for those who find themselves at a critical juncture in their careers or those who believe they have experienced failure.

His childhood was filled with numerous challenges, including educational, racial, and family issues. However, his story offers readers a fresh perspective, enabling them to realize that the difficulties they encounter are relatively minor in comparison.

Moreover, it provides hope and nourishes the mind, motivating individuals to strive for more and to have the courage to try again.

This is an especially valuable gift for teenagers who are transitioning to college or going through those years of emotional turmoil when they may be more susceptible to making poor decisions that could impact their future.

Dr. Carson's story serves as a reminder that with determination, perseverance, and a positive attitude, one can overcome even the most daunting obstacles and achieve great things.

I firmly believe that I have perused this book on two occasions.

The book precisely met my expectations - it is an extremely inspirational and motivational literary work.

If you have ever experienced dreams that were shattered or even entertained the thought that you would never achieve anything significant in life, then this book is certain to inspire you to strive for the stars.

It is truly a great read!

This book does start off a bit slow.

Dr. Carson kindly takes the time to acknowledge those that have helped him achieve success. It's a nice gesture, but it can make the beginning feel a bit drawn out.

However, the second half of the book is truly remarkable.

In it, he explains his acrostic, "Think Big", and it has left me feeling so inspired and determined to give my best to life.

His words are like a powerful force, pushing me to reach for my dreams and not settle for less.

My copy of the book is full of underlines and highlights, as I couldn't help but mark the passages that spoke to me the most.

This is a truly excellent book. It's not just a story about Dr. Carson's success, but also a guide on how we can all achieve our own.

I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for motivation and inspiration in their lives. :)

Dr. Ben Carson is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Michigan Medical School. Currently, he is the director of the pediatric neurosurgery section at the Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He lives with his wife, Candy, and their three sons in West Friendship, Maryland. He is the author of 4 best-selling books, namely "Gifted Hands", "Think Big", "The Big Picture" and "Take the Risk".

In "Think Big", Dr. Carson reveals his recipe for success. And who could do this better than someone who has transformed his own life, going from being a ghetto child to the most famous pediatric neurosurgery specialist. And, moreover, a true Christian!

This book is actually the story of the author's life. A black man, raised in poverty on the streets of Detroit and Boston, the product of a broken home led by a very young single mother with minimal education (married at the age of thirteen, divorced just after twenty) who had no professional skills or qualifications.

The philosophy of this book shows that each of us has the ability to transform ourselves into whole beings through intelligence, motivation and work (intellectual). To free ourselves from the mud of mediocrity and ignorance, he passionately recommends reading, reading in the field of our passions. What we like the most will guide our future.

I recommend this book to everyone, especially those who no longer believe in their own forces. Here Ben Carson relates his own life, the trials he has gone through and especially the joys he enjoys. But especially I recommend it to adolescents and young people, the young people who represent the fresh force, the energy still unspent. The ability to truly become men. Personally, the book "Think Big" and the way he relates his life story has motivated me incredibly. In my opinion, this book is a catalyst for success and achievable goals.
