The entire book is truly worthy of being read, and it has had the remarkable effect of drawing my heart even closer to the Lord.

Nonetheless, it is chapters 8, 9, and 10 that are truly phenomenal. These chapters contain such profound and impactful teachings that they have left an indelible mark on me.

I have seriously considered having my staff and students listen to chapter 10 on a regular basis. By doing so, I hope to re-orient their hearts towards the gospel.

This chapter has the power to inspire, convict, and transform, and I believe that its message is one that needs to be heard and internalized by all.

It is my prayer that through the regular listening and study of this chapter, we will all grow in our faith and draw closer to the Lord.

This one is more like a 2.5 for me. There is just too much fluff and too little substance.

Ortberg shares an abundance of little stories and insights. In fact, there are so many that it easily lost my interest. The teaching is based on the Bible, but it is rather elementary. It seems as if he missed an opportunity to really teach his readers something meaningful about the Bible.

I simply did not gain anything from this book at all. I had relatively high expectations, especially since I struggle to understand why God is so hard to find. However, I didn't manage to find any answers whatsoever in this book. It was a disappointment, as I was hoping for some deep and profound teachings that could help me in my spiritual journey. But unfortunately, this book failed to deliver on that front.

Maybe others will find more value in it, but for me, it was a waste of time and effort.
