One of my very close friends was kind enough to lend this book to me, and I am truly glad that she did! It is an excellent read, filled with numerous great scriptures throughout that effectively defend the points Joyce makes. The book offers valuable insights and practical guidance on how to develop a closer relationship with God and understand His voice. However, I docked 1 star for its length. It could have been trimmed down a little bit to make it more concise and easier to read. Nevertheless, it is still a highly recommended book for anyone seeking to grow in their faith and learn how to hear from God.

In life, we often face various challenges and difficulties that can make us feel down and discouraged. However, it is precisely in these moments that we need inspiration to keep us going.

Inspiration can come from many sources. It could be a powerful speech by a great leader, a touching story of someone's success despite the odds, or even a beautiful piece of art that moves our hearts.

I really wanted to complete it, but unfortunately, I just wasn't able to finish it.

I don't know why, but it just didn't seem to click with me.

Maybe it was too difficult, or maybe it just wasn't something that interested me.

Whatever the reason, I had to admit that it just wasn't for me.

I tried my best, but in the end, I had to give up.

It was a bit disappointing, but I guess there are just some things that are not meant to be.

I'll just have to move on and focus on other things that I'm better at.

Maybe one day, I'll look back on this and realize that it was a good thing that I didn't finish it.

But for now, I'm just going to let it go and see where life takes me.

It took me a considerable amount of time to get through this book. This was merely my second Joyce Meyer book. I had absolutely adored the first one, so I assumed that I would either despise or cherish this book. I didn't read it with the intention of critiquing it. Instead, I read it to discover how to hear from God. What I ultimately learned was "listen to God and obey." However, I just didn't like the way it was executed.

Some of the content was rather obvious, while some of it seemed contradictory and confusing. For instance, she would state that God speaks through other people, yet you can't believe everything that people claim is from God. Or she would say that we hear God's voice when we spend time with God, but we can't make decisions based solely on our gut, yet the Holy Spirit sometimes speaks to us through our "inner voice" (also known as the gut).

I understand that hearing from God is a complex subject matter. I simply thought that since it was a "Joyce Meyer" book, I would gain more understanding from it. In the last book of hers that I read, I felt that anyone could learn from it. But this book just seemed too complex for a new Christian or someone who doesn't yet know God, and at the same time, too elementary for someone who is spiritually growing.

How to Hear God :)

Hearing God is a profound and personal experience. Firstly, it requires a quiet and receptive heart. We need to set aside time for solitude and stillness, away from the distractions of the world. In this peaceful state, we can focus our minds and open our ears to the whispers of the divine.
