If you listen to your fears, you will die never knowing what a great person you might have been. This profound quote by Robert Schuller sets the tone for the discussion on confidence. Let me first tell you more about Joyce Meyer, the author of the book "The Confident Woman" for those who don't know her. Joyce Meyer endured regular sexual and mental abuse from her father. He was also extremely mean, causing her to suffer financially. Additionally, she endured hardships with her first husband. She was mentally devastated and was a very unconfident person.

Today, however, she has emerged as one of the most influential women in the United States. So when she writes about how to be confident, her words carry great weight and should be heeded. In the book, through a smooth flow of ideas, Meyer begins by discussing the general image of women. She then delves into the topic of confidence and reveals several facts about confidence and failing. She shares numerous examples and stories of courageous women, which serve as inspiration and motivation.

She also addresses emotional beating and the power of guilt feeling. By the end of the book, she has successfully wrapped up all the possible sides of confidence and fear. This is a very recommended book. P.S. If you are a man, this book is also for you. So don't be shy, read it and discover the path to becoming a more confident person.

I firmly recommend that if you decide to read this, you should bring along your discerning spirit.

Indeed, within this text, there were numerous inspiring elements. I am convinced that God utilized those particular parts to offer personal encouragement to me.

However, it is also important to note that there were a significant number of ideas and phrases that served as red flags. These aspects made me seriously question the extent to which they were biblically sound.

It is essential to approach such writings with a critical and discerning eye, carefully evaluating each point in light of the teachings of the Bible. This way, we can ensure that we are not misled by ideas that may seem appealing at first glance but do not align with the truth of God's Word.

By exercising discernment, we can separate the wheat from the chaff and gain the most valuable and beneficial insights from our reading experiences.

When my coworker noticed how distraught I was becoming about my divorce, she suggested that I read "The Confident Woman" by Joyce Meyers.

I am truly glad that I heeded her advice and read this remarkable book. Many of the chapters within it spoke directly to my heart, especially the vivid examples presented. I could vividly remember thinking or doing the very things described. I had always wondered why it took me so long to finish reading this book. Now, I know precisely the reason.

I had to complete this book today, just in time for the dawn of a new year, 2011, and the commencement of a new life for me.

"The Confident Woman" is divided into two parts: confidence and fear. It is an absolute must-read for any woman who aspires to reach her full potential while shedding negative hindrances. For me, the seven chapters on fear had the most profound impact on my life. There are several things that I long to do and pursue, but I have refrained from doing them due to my paralyzing fear of failure. Two particular examples include working full-time for myself with my image consulting business, Sensational Image Consulting INC, and opening a clothing boutique.

Using scriptures to complement her text, Meyers' writing style engages you and tells you precisely what you need to hear. I am certain that I have read exactly what I needed to hear, and I will be relying on this book to inspire and motivate me towards living out my full potential.

I look forward to the journey ahead, armed with the wisdom and inspiration from "The Confident Woman".

The novel, "The Confident Woman" was truly outstanding!

Joyce Meyer is a magnificent author, and I have an absolute love for her! This novel delves into great depth regarding how insecurity leads to significant difficulties within relationships in today's times, resulting in thousands of divorces every year. However, the main emphasis of this novel is to enable readers to realize what God has in store for them and who He intends them to be. Meyers elaborates in significant detail about how God's desire for us, as women, is to be bold, courageous, confident, respected, admired, sought after, but most importantly, loved. The intention of this book is to demonstrate that God has a plan for every single person. The confidence she instills in her readers is impeccable, making this novel by far one of the best she has written.

This book was undoubtedly one of the best books I have ever read. "When the World Says No" was by far my favorite chapter in the book. When the world proclaims, "no, you're too weak," or "no, you can't do that," these were two of the many topics that Meyers focused on. In this chapter, Meyers goes into detail to explain that no two people are alike, and everyone is different and has their own talents. One person may be extremely intelligent and love school, while the other may excel at singing. Joyce Meyers states, "You are special! You are unique! You are YOU!" This quote can definitely have an impact on someone who is striving to be like someone else.

The way Meyers writes is truly dazzling. Her novels can undoubtedly make an impact on someone's life, and in my opinion, she is highly skilled at what she does. Every single one of the books that Meyers writes is remarkable, and I would without a doubt recommend any of her numerous novels.

Reading this book was truly an experience that can be likened to eating seeded watermelon. One is so preoccupied with spitting out all those black seeds that it becomes extremely difficult to fully relish the sweet and delicious fruit surrounding them.

Joyce Meyer indeed had a fair share of true and beneficial insights to offer regarding confidence and how to deal with the lack of it. Nevertheless, I noticed right from the start and throughout the book that she seemed to have an excessive fondness for using the word "aggressive" in relation to confidence. Perhaps this is simply something that I, personally, cannot identify with, but I firmly believe that the former is not necessarily a prerequisite for the latter.

Moreover, and I'm fully aware that many people might despise me for stating this, but she is just not the most accomplished writer. Who on earth edited this book anyway? Her thoughts frequently come across as redundant or overly self-centered, and on a technical level, the phrasing and sentence structure are often murky and perplexing. Ordinarily, these would be just minor quibbles that I could easily brush aside, but the problem was that it was so persistent that it became a major distraction.

Worst of all, she has a habit of quoting Scripture out of context. For example, take this particular gem: "The Bible states that unless we are well balanced the devil will be able to devour us." That is most definitely NOT what that verse actually says! It is actually about being watchful against Satan and standing firm against him; it pertains to temptation and spiritual warfare. (I don't dispute the point she is attempting to make, but that does not excuse misquoting Scripture.) Finally, I read THIS line and nearly lost my temper: "I try to be led by God's Spirit - or another way of saying it is I try to be led by my heart..." NO, THAT IS NOT ANOTHER WAY OF SAYING IT AT ALL!!! THEY ARE NOWHERE NEAR THE SAME THING!!!!

I rarely give up on books before finishing them, but I had finally reached my limit. I do (sort of) want to give it some credit for the positive content it contains, but I simply cannot award 3 stars to a book that I abandoned halfway through. For me, there were just too many big black seeds that overshadowed the fruit.

I truly relished this book. Joyce Meyer has an outstanding ability to pinpoint those concerns and anxieties that numerous women possess. She adeptly explains both the reasons behind them and the ways in which they can modify those thought patterns.

Admittedly, there are certain sections that seem rather obvious, as if it's an open door. However, they serve as excellent reminders nonetheless that we are permitted to be bold and courageous, just as she is.

Joyce Meyer's insights and teachings in this book are not only practical but also inspiring. She offers valuable perspectives on how women can break free from the shackles of self-doubt and fear, and embrace a more confident and empowered life.

I received these books as a gift from someone who truly cared about me.

It really hit home because growing up, not knowing my birth parents used to destroy me emotionally. The people in my community hated me for no reason, and the people I trusted disappointed me. I couldn't stand on my own after the loss of my grandmother and friends who cared less. I felt small, as if I didn't belong anywhere.

Until I started reading "The Confident Woman" by Joyce Meyer. It taught me how to be a strong woman. Now I don't need people to love me because I know God loves me more than they do. It also taught me how to behave as a woman and how to let go of some things.

I know I'm strong. I feel like the book was made for me. I am a new person now. Thank you.
