Surprisingly, it actually reads like modern talk, which makes it quite engaging. There are numerous other meanings hidden behind particular words, and these are extremely helpful when trying to decipher the original meaning.

The print size and formatting are well done. In fact, I can actually "curl up" with this in bed and read a few pages to close out my day.

Joyce Meyer inserts her own interpretations and applications to life. I haven't read very many of those yet, but I'm really looking forward to seeing how they work in conjunction with my own interpretation of the text.

Of course, Meyer has much more experience and reference material than I do. So, I will truly appreciate her efforts to summarize and insert applications into my daily life.

Secondly, no translation is without its flaws; each has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. In other words, if you have any uncertainties regarding your understanding, it is crucial to cross-reference through different translations and also consider the context of the Bible itself.

I read this for the more easily-understandable translation which I compare sometimes with the King James version. I think it's pretty good. However, unfortunately, I do not care for the commentary. Indeed, I do not read it. That is not the purpose for which I use the book. And, before you get angry at me for buying a commentary book without intending to read the commentary, I received it as a gift.

The term "LeatherLuxe" confuses me. In general vocabulary, lux leather means real leather that is of a luxurious variety. It is, however, unregulated. And nobody seeing a company advertising a product as lux leather should ever buy from them without looking deeper into the matter. But that is not what "LeatherLuxe" is meant to mean. No, indeed, "LeatherLuxe" is a trademark. On both counts, I cannot find if it is imitation leather or real. And the publisher's information also does not give the details. My researches into the origin of the material from which this book was crafted were in vain. I really hope to know more about this "LeatherLuxe" to clear up my confusion. Maybe I need to do more research or try to contact the publisher directly to get the accurate information.
