I really liked Eragon in middle school. The storyline was extremely quick paced and exciting, which immediately grabbed my attention.

What impressed me the most, however, was that I still had a great fondness for the story when I became a high school student.

Even after graduating from high school, this series remains one of my numerous favorites.

When reading Eldest, I was truly surprised by the vast amount of detail that was used to describe the different elven and dwarfish cultures.

I really liked this aspect, perhaps because I'm kind of a nerd who enjoys delving into such intricate details.

The rich and vivid descriptions made the fictional world come alive in my imagination, and I found myself completely immersed in it.

It's rare to find a series that can maintain its appeal across different stages of life, but the Eragon series has managed to do just that for me.

I have completed reading Eragon as of the night before last. It was indeed an enjoyable experience. It is said that Eldest is far superior to Erogon, and so far, in chapter 4, I find this to be true. Well, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I continued with Eldest and finished it last night. I noticed that at certain parts, the pace was a bit slow. However, towards the end, it became very original and truly attention-grabbing. The final chapters more than made up for the slower sections. In fact, I am now eagerly anticipating the third book, Inheritance 3: Brisingr.

I can't wait to see what adventures and developments await in the next installment. The world that the author has created is truly captivating, and I'm excited to explore it further.

One of the most captivating and fantastical series I have ever had the pleasure of reading. It is truly a remarkable discovery for anyone and everyone.

These books transport us into the enchanting realm of Alagsia, allowing us to witness as Eragon faces off against evil and delves into the world of magic, all while finding his true self as a dragon rider.

In "Eldest", the plot takes on a more complex and intricate nature. However, I must admit that I don't believe this book is quite as good as its predecessor, "Eragon".

"Eldest" also incorporates alternating chapters from the perspective of Eragon's cousin, Roran. While this adds an interesting dimension to the story, I feel that it detracts from the overall narrative.

Roran's chapters simply don't have the same level of excitement and intrigue as those of Eragon. Nevertheless, the series as a whole remains a thrilling and engaging read.

I feel as though this series is one whereby only the generation it was brought into truly enjoyed it.

I must admit that these are not my absolute favourite dragon stories. However, since I have always had a deep love for dragon tales, I am among those people who did enjoy the books to some extent. That being said, the first book was probably the only one that I truly and wholeheartedly enjoyed.

As a whole, if you have a passion for a good dragon story, they are indeed worth a read. But it is essential that you approach them with an open mind, free from the influence of negative reviews. Otherwise, you will be overly sensitive to certain aspects that you would probably be able to overlook under different circumstances.

This series has its own charm and unique features that might appeal to dragon enthusiasts. It offers a different perspective on the world of dragons and takes readers on an exciting adventure. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, it does have its own merits and can provide an enjoyable reading experience for those who are willing to give it a chance.

A little long and wordy, but I liked them.

I guess my only complaint is that at times you can really tell they were written by a teenager.

However, still I was impressed.

There is no way I would have been able to write books like these when I was seventeen.

The fact that these works were created by a teenager is both a charm and a flaw. On one hand, the youthful energy and unique perspective shine through, making the stories fresh and engaging. On the other hand, the lack of experience and polish is also evident, resulting in some overly long and convoluted passages. But despite these shortcomings, I have to admit that I was truly impressed by the author's talent and creativity. It takes a lot of courage and hard work to write a book, let alone multiple ones at such a young age. I look forward to seeing how this author will continue to grow and develop in the future.

I actually first saw the movie before I read the book. At that time, I was really attracted by the wonderful scenes and special effects in the movie. However, my sister always told me that the movie didn't do the book justice. So, I finally decided it was time to read the book.

The beginning of the book was pretty slow, which made me a little impatient at first. But as I continued to read, I found that the rest of the book was great. The author's description was so vivid that I could imagine the scenes in my mind clearly. And the next book in the series, eldest, was also really good.

I was really surprised about how much they cut out of the movie. Some of my favorite parts in the book were not shown in the movie at all. My favorite part of the book was when Eragon decided to go back and save the elve that sent him the dragon egg to him. This part showed Eragon's courage and kindness. And I also really liked the part when he found the egg. It was a very exciting moment in the story.

Excellent books are truly a treasure.

Don't be misled by the movie, as the book is often far superior.

I really liked the second book, Eldest, which was even better than the first.

However, if you're like me and impatiently await the next installment in a series, you might be disappointed.

The third book isn't set to come out until next September, and then there's no telling when the fourth and final book will be released.

Nevertheless, the science fiction in these books is well-written and engaging.

It draws you into a world of imagination and adventure, making you eager to see what happens next.

Despite the long wait for the subsequent books, the quality of the writing makes it worth it.

I can't wait to see how the story concludes and how the characters develop further.

Hopefully, the wait will be worth it and the final book will live up to the expectations set by the previous ones.

Alright, here goes my first review ever.

Bear with me if it's terrible! These books, Eragon and Eldest, are decent considering they were written by a 15-year-old, but they do have their flaws.

As a die-hard Lord of the Rings fan, this series seems to draw a lot from LOTR. In fact, I have a theory that the Eragon series takes place many years after the LOTR trilogy, although we won't get into the details of that now.

The reading is easy and flows nicely. Paolini does a good job of keeping the reader engaged. The last book in the series, Brisingr, is due out on September 28, 2008. So, we'll have to wait and see how the story concludes.

As it stands now, this is my prediction. It looks like it will climax with the destruction of the ruthless enemy king. Eragon will then be elevated to the new throne and married to the elf of his dreams, almost like a Hollywood ending. Of course, there will be a twist. I predict that the dragon, Saphiera, will meet her end.

Well, that's all I have for now in terms of my random ramblings. Thanks for reading.

I read some reviews that claimed this book is a mere copy of The Lord of the Rings (LotR). However, that is an extreme exaggeration.

To be fair, there are certain elements, such as the presence of elves and dwarves, and specific moments, like one during the main battle, that did remind me of LotR. But by far, this book holds its own. It has very unique aspects. One major element is the connection to your own dragon.

I really enjoyed the style of writing. There were some extremely picturesque scenes that are still vivid in my mind. Although I didn't enjoy the book as much as my husband, who has read the series multiple times, I still looked forward to reading more every night.

The book was a bit long, which my husband liked more than I did. The story had its surprises at times, and I felt that things were well-explained and made sense. I truly believe the story was very well thought out.

Nevertheless, I had a few gripes about the characters. A few of the main characters had a similar bold and reckless streak that really got on my nerves, considering they could have gotten people killed. Some parts of the war and the character choices were a little too harsh and real for me, as I do like fantasy as a means to escape reality.

But despite these minor drawbacks, I'm sure I will come back to the series to finish it and see what happens next.

Lots of story build up but the end is so action packed I love it. There are numerous elements that contribute to the engaging build-up of the story. The characters are developed in a way that makes you care about them and their fates. The plot unfolds gradually, with each event adding to the tension and anticipation. As the story progresses, you find yourself more and more invested in what will happen next.

And then, the end comes, and it is truly action packed. All the build-up pays off as the characters face their greatest challenges and engage in intense battles and confrontations. The excitement is palpable, and you can't help but be on the edge of your seat, eagerly following every twist and turn. The action is described in vivid detail, making it easy to picture in your mind's eye.

Overall, this story is a great example of how a well-crafted build-up can lead to an exciting and satisfying conclusion. It keeps you engaged from start to finish and leaves you with a sense of fulfillment. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good story with plenty of action and adventure.

The books Eragon and Eldest were, to be quite honest, rather interesting, at least in terms of the storyline. However, there was an undeniable sense that they seemed a bit, well, plagiarized. As I delved into the story, all I could think of was Star Wars. Consider this: a boy who believes his parents to be dead is taken under the wing of an old and mysterious man. This old man just so happens to be highly skilled in numerous different areas and proceeds to teach the boy everything he knows. Doesn't that sound eerily familiar? But wait, it gets even better. The boy's dead dad? He just so happens to be the evil bad guy. If that isn't strikingly similar to Star Wars, I truly don't know what is.

Another issue I had with this story was a distinct feeling of it being rather juvenile. I felt that I was perhaps too old to fully engage with this tale, as if it were specifically crafted for someone much younger than myself. To sum it up, it was a relatively easy read for me. The only real challenge would have been learning the ancient language. The author used simple words and phrases, and not to mention, the characters were rather bland. I mean, there was absolutely nothing special about Eragon. He just so happened to be the so-called 'chosen one', or whatever you prefer to call it. All in all, he was the stereotypical hero of the story. I mean, a guy who can do everything on his own 'like a big boy'. It's quite silly, really. There seems to be no real point in creating such an overused and unoriginal character. If you do decide to carry on and read this book, well, may the force be with you.

I loved Eragon from the start.

It had a wonderful flow and a great pace that kept me engaged throughout.

It was truly fun and distinct from anything I had read in quite some time.

I really liked it a lot, and as a result, I was extremely excited to read Eldest when it was released.

However, Eldest turned out to be a disappointment.

It was almost as if the author had one initial idea when he began (intending it to be part of a trilogy) but then decided that he could sell more books by stretching the story out to four books and sort of haphazardly patched the second book together.

It was not as fast-paced as Eragon, and as the book progressed, I found myself losing interest.

In fact, I probably won't even bother reading the last two books in the series.

The author should have adhered to his original plan for a trilogy instead of struggling to turn it into a quadrology or whatever it is called.

So, I give four stars to Eragon but only two stars to Eldest.
