I'm an extremely enthusiastic fan of fairytales and short story collections. I'm well aware that among them, some will inevitably be of a higher quality than others. However, I must admit that I really wasn't very fond of the selection in this particular one.

I did take great pleasure in "Adventures in Wonderland", "Through the Looking Glass", and "A Tangled Tale". These stories had elements that truly captured my imagination and held my attention.

Nevertheless, I felt that the other stories in this collection simply didn't measure up. They seemed to lack the charm, depth, and excitement that I had expected.

Overall, I would rate this collection at 3.5 stars. While there were some standout stories, the others unfortunately didn't quite make the cut for me.

FINALLY DONE WOOOO

Sylvie and Bruno wasn't that bad. In fact, it had its moments. The story had an interesting premise that initially caught my attention. However, the beginning and ending were a little all over the place. They set up a whole plot in the beginning, with various characters and situations being introduced. But as the story progressed, it seemed that this initial plot became somewhat irrelevant to the rest of the narrative. It was a bit disappointing in that regard. Nevertheless, there were still some aspects of the story that I enjoyed. The characters were well-developed and had their own unique personalities. The descriptions of the settings were also quite vivid, which added to the overall atmosphere of the story. Overall, while Sylvie and Bruno had its flaws, it was still an enjoyable read.

I'm not too fond of the rest of his stories.

His early works had a certain charm and freshness that captured my attention. However, as I delved deeper into his body of work, I found that the later stories seemed to lack that same spark.

The characters became less developed and the plots more predictable. It felt as if he was relying on formulas rather than exploring new ideas and emotions.

Perhaps he had reached a point where he was more focused on quantity rather than quality. Or maybe he had simply run out of inspiration.

Whatever the reason, I can't help but feel a sense of disappointment. I had expected more from him, especially after being so impressed by his initial offerings.

Nonetheless, I still appreciate the effort he put into writing and the fact that he has shared his stories with the world. Maybe there are still some hidden gems among the rest of his works that I just haven't discovered yet.

I didn't bother reading the Sylvie and Bruno story.

It was just too long and too confusing for me to follow.

The plot seemed convoluted and the characters not very engaging.

However, the Alice stories were a completely different matter.

They were charming and full of whimsy.

The adventures that Alice had in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass were both entertaining and thought-provoking.

The characters, such as the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts, were all unique and memorable.

The language used in the Alice stories was also very beautiful and descriptive, painting a vivid picture of the strange and wonderful worlds that Alice visited.

Overall, while the Sylvie and Bruno story didn't do it for me, the Alice stories were a real delight to read.

Still crazy after all these years.

This time, it is read as a research assignment.

It's truly remarkable how something can maintain its allure and sense of wildness over such a long period.

As I delve into this assignment, I am eager to uncover the reasons behind this enduring craziness.

Perhaps it is the element of mystery that keeps pulling us in, or maybe it's the unique charm that refuses to fade.

Could it be that our own changing perspectives and experiences continue to find new meanings and interpretations within this crazy thing?

These are the questions that I will explore as I embark on this research journey.

I anticipate that it will be a fascinating exploration, filled with unexpected discoveries and insights.

Who knows what I will uncover about this still crazy thing that has endured through the years?

Only time will tell, but I'm excited to find out.

Muy buen clásico. It is a really great classic.

Divertido y original si lo lees como niño, e interesante y por que no, también divertido si lo lees como adulto. It is both fun and original if you read it as a child, and interesting and why not, also fun if you read it as an adult.

Que bien que integra Carrol las matemáticas y la lógica en la historia. It is so good that Carroll integrates mathematics and logic into the story. This makes the story not only entertaining but also educational. It allows readers to learn about these important concepts in a fun and engaging way.

Overall, this classic is a must-read for both children and adults. It has stood the test of time and continues to be enjoyed by generations of readers.

This volume will stay with me for my entire life.

It was the first "grown-up" book I ever received. It was a gift from a stranger whose name escapes me.

Whoever it was, they truly changed my life.

Stepping into Carroll's world was like opening a door to a whole new universe.

It opened my mind to the limitless possibilities of the human imagination.

I was amazed to see how Carroll could create such a奇幻 and absurd world with his words.

It also introduced me to the concept of math as art.

I never thought that numbers and equations could be so beautiful and interesting.

Moreover, this book made me interested in the man behind the genius.

I wanted to know more about Carroll's life, his thoughts, and his inspiration.

This volume has become a precious treasure to me, and I will always cherish it.

I finally got around to reading this classic.

It is the story of Alice, a young girl who follows a white rabbit and ends up falling down a rabbit hole into a weird and wonderful, fantastical world filled with odd characters.

Alice interacts with a range of characters, most notably the aloof Mad Hatter, the mystical Cheshire Cat, and the crazy Queen of Hearts.

This is an excellent read if you want to escape adulthood for a while and remember what it was like to be a child governed by your imagination and belief in the magical, when everything seemed possible.

The book is incredibly witty and well-written, and it is worth reading for this alone.

Though it might seem like just a bedtime story for children, it is much more than that.

If you analyze the book critically, you can uncover the symbolism of the characters and see clear themes emerge.

The themes that I believe run throughout the story not only add depth to the story but also allude to life's greater meanings.

For example, Alice can symbolize the loss of youthful innocence, and the white rabbit can represent time, anxiety, and society's pressures regarding work and schedules.

The Mad Hatter can symbolize chaos and confusion or the return to youthful fun, and the Queen of Hearts can symbolize a tyrannical and temperamental leader, serving as a satirical take on the absolute monarchy.

You can read into greater messages about the importance of not wandering off or interacting with strangers or as a reminder to appreciate the life and family you have, as the grass is not always greener on the other side.

Either way, as a story, it is interesting and everyone should read it at least once.

As an allegory, it is a valuable lesson about life and how to best live and appreciate it.

What a truly strange and peculiar book this is!

Apparently, I had not perused it in its entirety previously. There are certain sections that strike a chord of familiarity, as if I have encountered them before. However, there are other parts that are entirely novel to me.

For the most part, it appears to be a jumble of surreal and nonsensical elements. But upon further reflection, I suspect that it might be making a statement about the inherent absurdity of everyday life.

The Cheshire Cat, without a doubt, steals the show. Its mysterious and mischievous nature adds an extra layer of intrigue to the story. Overall, this book is a fascinating and perplexing read that leaves me with more questions than answers.

Goodreads is an amazing platform that allows readers to discover, rate, and review books. It has become an essential part of the reading community, connecting people from all over the world who share a love for literature.

However, when it comes to some truly outstanding books, the current star rating system seems to fall short. There are those rare gems that deserve more than just five stars. They have the power to move us, inspire us, and change our perspectives.

For these exceptional works, we need a way to express our admiration and give them the recognition they truly deserve. Maybe it could be a special category or an additional symbol to signify their extraordinary quality.

In conclusion, while the five-star rating system on Goodreads is a great start, we should consider expanding it to better accommodate those books that go above and beyond. This would not only benefit the authors of these remarkable works but also help other readers discover the true masterpieces that are out there.

Firstly, it should be noted that the author was a Victorian academic and a conservative cleric. It is rather absurd for anyone to claim that his work is drug-induced psychedelia. This is either a sign of great stupidity or a confusion with a song by a 60s rock band from California.

Now, let's dissect the book. It consists of three parts: (1) the Alice books; (2) the Sylvie and Bruno books; and (3) assorted scraps and related material. The page ratio is approximately 250:400:500. So, if you are only interested in reading Alice, you will have a significant amount of extra content to wade through. In fact, the main reason to purchase this edition might be to have an impressive chunky leather-bound book on your shelf. Although I would rate section 1 with 5 stars, the next section is extremely soppy and/or tedious drivel. The final part is really only of interest to those who wish to delve deeper into the mind of the writer of Alice. (There are some genuine gems here, by the way.)

I read the entire thing, but that's an experience I don't care to repeat. I strongly recommend that anyone who is not simultaneously fascinated by Victorian fairy cuteness, ecumenical hair-splitting, and 19th century Oxbridge wit should opt for a more compact edition.
