Whether it was helping Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls win three-straight NBA titles in the 1990's or showing up to a book signing in a dress and full makeup, Dennis Rodman has always distinguished himself as one of the great and most polarizing personalities in the sports world. I never closely followed Dennis Rodman's NBA career nor did I have too much interest in his antics over the years. So, I went into reading this book completely blind.

To my surprise, this book provides a great deal of in-depth understanding into the life of a famous sports figure. Rodman openly shares his experiences as an alcoholic and a party enthusiast, all directly from himself.

It is truly a very real and insightful account. Through reading this book, I have now become a fan of Dennis Rodman. I have gained a new perspective on his life and have come to appreciate the challenges and triumphs he has faced.

The book offers a unique look into the world of a celebrity athlete and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about Dennis Rodman or the life of a professional sports star.

5/10.

It wasn't a terrible reading experience, but considering it was the unyielding autobiography of one of the most vivid characters in the history of sport, my expectations were higher. I completely understand that Rodman didn't wish to center solely on his NBA career. However, I would have loved to hear some tales about his interactions with Robinson/Popovich or about his relationship with Pippen, with whom he played on the team and injured a few years prior. He wrote that his 3 years in Chicago were the best 3 years of his life, but unfortunately, we won't find detailed accounts of this period in the book either. There are numerous general descriptions of partying and drinking, lacking in funny details. It's something like: "We went there and I drank this and that. Then we went to Vegas." I have already read some previously known stories that were extensively covered in the press.

The greatest strength of the book is the thread about Dennis's guards. It turns out that, which may not be obvious to a typical, dedicated NBA fan (especially in the 90s), star guards are among their closest associates and have a significant impact on their lives. I found the penne story amusing, had a moment of reflection when he claimed to be one of the top 50 players of all time, and was a bit bored while reading the rather obvious chapters on the nature of fame.

Dennis Rodman reminds me of a cool and cheeky guy who simply speaks his mind. He may not be polite, but he is honest in his opinions. Regrettably, his autobiography fails to live up to this image. I would have preferred fewer general bar stories and descriptions of what Dennis was wearing on a particular day, and more honest and detailed narratives.

Bottom line: It's as if Dennis collects 9 balls in a match. Everyone else might be happy, but in his case, it's twice not enough.

This has just made it to the very top of my worst books list. It is truly even difficult to accurately describe it as a book in the traditional sense.

The book presents itself in a manner that is strikingly similar to a guy who is intoxicated at the bar, rambling on and on about the various misadventures he had. There are an excessive number of pages dedicated to detailing just how much alcohol he could consume and still manage to function both as a basketball player and in a sexual context. If your intention in picking up this book was to gain a genuine and meaningful insight into the life of a basketball player, then you are sorely mistaken. This is not the book that will provide you with that.

I found myself growing bored after only about 20 pages. However, I decided to persevere, thinking that surely the quality of the book must improve as I delved deeper. But alas, it did not. In fact, I could not recommend this book any less. It is a disappointment from start to finish and fails to deliver on any level.

Rodman has always resorted to rather odd tactics in his books to pad out the pages. He would change the font and size of the text for what he calls "emphasis" or these so-called "reality checks". However, these elements are not only disruptive but also redundant.

The majority of the book is once again just one big exercise in humblebragging. If all the unnecessary components were removed, this book could probably be reduced to about a quarter of its current size. With each book he writes, it seems that he has more and more control and there is less editing taking place. As a result, the whole thing is just a mess.

Thankfully, the things I liked about Rodman before this book were not completely ruined for me, although it certainly tried hard to do so. The writing in this book is atrocious, but the character of Dennis Rodman still remains intriguing, albeit for more reasons than before. In fact, I think he revealed more of himself than he perhaps intended to in this book.

Overall, while there are some aspects of Rodman's character that are still interesting, the book itself is a disappointment due to its poor writing and excessive use of gimmicks.

Of course I had to read this one too.

It seemed to call out to me, demanding my attention.

The moment I laid eyes on it, I knew I couldn't resist.

The cover was enticing, with its vibrant colors and mysterious design.

I picked it up, feeling the weight of the book in my hands.

As I opened it, the smell of fresh paper filled my nostrils.

The words on the page seemed to dance before my eyes, inviting me into their world.

I began to read, and before I knew it, I was completely engrossed.

The story unfolded before me, taking me on a journey of adventure, romance, and mystery.

I couldn't put the book down, even when my eyes started to feel heavy.

I had to know what happened next, and before long, I had reached the end.

It was a satisfying conclusion, but also left me wanting more.

I closed the book, feeling a sense of fulfillment and a newfound love for reading.

This book had truly captured my heart and imagination.

Eh. It's just so-so.

There are some good stories, funny tidbits, and quotes here and there. However, they are kind of few and far between.

Most of the stories start to seem a bit old after a while.

It's not a bad thing, though.

The good parts do add some flavor and entertainment value.

But overall, it doesn't really stand out as something truly remarkable.

Maybe with a bit more variety and freshness in the stories, it could have been a lot better.

Still, it's not a total waste of time.

There are definitely worse things out there.

So, in conclusion, it's an okay read, but nothing to get too excited about.

Dennis Rodman is an extremely interesting figure.

He is widely regarded as one of the greatest defensive basketball players and was a crucial member of the highly successful Chicago Bulls teams that won multiple championships in the 1990s.

On the basketball court, Rodman achieved remarkable feats. His tenacious defense and ability to rebound were second to none. However, his unique playing style and off-court persona, which was often flamboyant and controversial, seemed to have had an impact on his career.

It appears that these aspects may have deprived him of the longer and more prosperous career that he desired.

The book delves into many aspects of Rodman's life, chronicling how he dealt with the voids and challenges he faced. It also explores how he managed to overcome his struggles with alcohol abuse and turn his life around.

Overall, Rodman's story is a complex and captivating one that offers insights into the world of professional sports and the human experience.

Dennis Rodman,

was an extremely historical basketball player who had a remarkable presence in the NBA for over 20 years.

He played for multiple teams, most notably the Bulls and the Spurs.

But what set Rodman apart from others was his rather twisted and weird lifestyle outside of basketball.

In "I Should Be Dead by Now," Rodman takes a retrospective look at his life beyond the basketball court and also delves into other aspects of his career.

This book reveals why he had a major impact not only in the world of basketball but also in America.

It's quite difficult for me to determine if I truly enjoyed this book or not.

There were indeed many parts that I found interesting and engaging,

but I also think there were more parts that I didn't like.

For instance, I feel that Rodman focuses too much on the negative aspects of his life rather than highlighting the good.

Moreover, he could have come up with a more appealing title for the book.

For these reasons, I am giving the book a three out of five stars.

Why three? Well, I did enjoy certain parts of Rodman's story and could relate to him in some ways.

One connection I felt was that, like him, I am mostly an all-defense player.

However, I wouldn't recommend this book to a friend due to the vulgar and crude content it contains.
