He writes in fragments, which makes it extremely difficult to discern the flow of his thoughts and the plot.

Each sentence seems to stand alone, lacking the necessary connections and transitions that would otherwise make the reading experience seamless.

However, despite this drawback, it was still good enough for me to read the whole thing.

There was something about his writing style that intrigued me, perhaps it was the rawness and authenticity that came through in those fragmented sentences.

It made me feel as if I was getting a direct glimpse into his mind, rather than a polished and refined version of his thoughts.

Although it required more effort on my part to piece together the story and understand his intended message, I found the experience to be oddly rewarding.

It made me think more deeply about the nature of writing and how different styles can evoke different emotions and responses from the reader.

In the end, I was glad that I had taken the time to read his work, flaws and all.

This was written over 40 years ago, and yet, it was still absolutely chilling to read.

The words seemed to leap off the page, sending shivers down my spine.

I couldn't help but wonder how close this might be to nonfiction.

Was there a grain of truth hidden within the fictional narrative?

As I turned each page, I was drawn deeper into the story, my heart pounding with anticipation.

The author's vivid descriptions and masterful storytelling made it feel as if I was right there, experiencing the events firsthand.

Even after I finished reading, the story lingered in my mind, haunting me with its eerie atmosphere and thought-provoking themes.

I found myself reflecting on the passage of time and how some things never seem to change.

Could this story still hold true today?

It was a question that I couldn't easily answer, but one that I would continue to ponder for a long time to come.

My review might not be entirely accurate as I only managed to read about one-third of the book before having to stop.

In today's climate where anti-semitism is a concern, this particular book really upset me, and as a result, I simply did not have the desire to read any further.

However, knowing James Patterson as I do, and having almost all of his books in my collection, I am quite certain that this book is written to his typically excellent standards.

He is known for his engaging storytelling and ability to keep readers hooked from start to finish.

Perhaps if the subject matter had not been so sensitive and had not affected me in such a personal way, I would have been able to continue reading and fully appreciate the book for what it is.

But unfortunately, in this case, my emotions got the better of me, and I had to put it aside.

Nonetheless, I still have a great deal of respect for James Patterson as an author and look forward to reading his future works.

The movie promised a great deal. There were high expectations as it was promoted with exciting trailers and a captivating premise. However, as the story unfolded, it quickly became evident that it was going to be a letdown.

The beginning had some moments that held the audience's attention, but as the plot progressed, it failed to build on that initial momentum. Instead, it meandered aimlessly, with the characters' actions and decisions lacking coherence and purpose.

By the end, the plot fizzled out completely. There was no satisfying resolution or payoff for the audience's investment in the story. The movie left viewers feeling disappointed and unfulfilled.

Overall, it was a major disappointment. Despite the initial promise, it failed to deliver a truly engaging and entertaining experience. It serves as a reminder that a great concept is not enough; the execution must also be top-notch to create a memorable and enjoyable movie.

Patterson's trademark short chapters were still present way back when he wrote this novel.

In fact, it's that easy-to-digest format that keeps 'See How They Run' from becoming dull. However, there's not really much content in this retribution tale.

Even the grand finale never lives up to its potential. The characters are rather two-dimensional and inconsistent too.

What's left is a thankfully short tale about an interesting terrorist plot around the 1980 Olympic Village.

There's not really much to recommend since Patterson has gone on to produce considerably better work.

Perhaps if the story had been more developed and the characters more fleshed out, it could have been a more engaging read.

As it stands, it's a decent enough effort but not one that will leave a lasting impression.

Still, for fans of Patterson's work, it may be worth a read to see how his writing has evolved over the years.

This was an extremely challenging book for me to keep up with.

All the nicknames were so perplexing that I truly couldn't fathom who was responsible for the killings until deep into the story.

This was likely one of the least favored James Patterson books for me.

The main characters were difficult to like or establish a sense of kinship with.

The individuals I believed to be the good guys ultimately proved to be heartless murderers.

I could comprehend them eliminating the Nazis who perpetrated the atrocities in the camps, but not killing innocent people.

The ending left me attempting to turn the page before I realized that was the conclusion.

It was a highly unsatisfactory read.

Meh....it was fine. It wasn't an outstanding piece of work, but it was acceptable.

It was a nice read. The story had its moments that kept me engaged. I liked the main character. There was something about his or her personality that made me root for them throughout the book.

I love James Patterson. He is one of my favorite authors, known for his thrilling and engaging stories. However, this particular book isn't one of my favorites. It didn't have the same level of excitement and impact as some of his other works.

Overall, it was an okay read. It had its strengths, but it also had its weaknesses. I would still recommend it to fans of James Patterson, as it may be more to their liking. But for me, it just didn't quite hit the mark.

This particular piece was not my favorite.

It presented a significant challenge mainly due to the disturbing subject matter it delved into.

The content was such that it made it hard for me to engage with it on a positive note.

It constantly tugged at my emotions in an uncomfortable way, making the entire experience less than pleasant.

Despite my best efforts to look beyond the disturbing aspect, it remained a prominent factor that overshadowed any potential merits the piece might have had.

Perhaps if the subject matter had been more palatable or handled in a different manner, my perception of it could have been quite different.

But as it stands, it will not be a piece that I will look back on with fondness or recommend easily.

The book follows the usual formula of fast-paced short chapters. However, contrary to what I usually experience when reading James Patterson's books, I didn't have the same feeling this time.

It was just an okay read and failed to thrill me.

He watches helplessly as his wife is brutally murdered. Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, Strauss's brother meets his demise during the Academy Award ceremonies. Soon, Dr. David Strauss becomes fixated on uncovering the explosive secret that lies behind the murders of his family members. His perilous journey takes him across Europe and ultimately leads to the Olympics, where one of the most astonishing surprises in the realm of suspense fiction is set to occur.

Terrifying in the potential

This work of fiction presents a scenario that is both captivating and deeply disturbing. It showcases the extremes of human nature and the potential for chaos and destruction. One can't help but wonder if such a situation could ever truly occur in the real world. The thought is terrifying, as it would have far-reaching consequences for both sides involved.

On one hand, it makes us question the lengths to which people are willing to go in the name of ideology or power. On the other hand, it highlights the importance of finding peaceful solutions and promoting understanding.

Despite its disturbing nature, this piece of fiction also provides a cathartic reading experience. It allows us to explore our deepest fears and anxieties in a safe and controlled environment. It makes us think about the world we live in and the choices we make.

Overall, it is a powerful and thought-provoking work that leaves a lasting impression on the reader.

This work is not Patterson's best effort.

It seems to lack the usual sparkle and finesse that we have come to expect from him.

The story may have some interesting elements, but it fails to fully engage the reader on a deeper level.

The characters could have been developed more fully, and the plot feels a bit rushed in places.

Perhaps Patterson was working under a tight deadline or was simply not at his creative best when he wrote this.

However, it's important to note that even a subpar effort from Patterson is still better than many other works in the genre.

He has a proven track record of writing engaging and thrilling stories, and this one is no exception.

Despite its flaws, it still manages to hold the reader's attention and keep them turning the pages.

Overall, while this may not be Patterson's best work, it's still worth a read for fans of his and those who enjoy the genre.

A good book to get you thinking during the Covid-19 pandemic is truly a gem.

Life undergoes a drastic transformation for Dr. David Strauss. After his grandmother Elena, brother Nick, and wife Heather are brutally murdered, seemingly by a new breed of neo-Nazis determined to reenact the Holocaust. Elena and Nick, it turns out, were part of a secret Jewish society seeking vengeance on the Nazis.

The story is set in 1980 and alters history slightly by having the Moscow Olympics occur without a boycott. Strauss starts to reexamine his life and reconnects with the superstar actress and model Alix Rothchild, formerly Rothman, a childhood friend. Her parents were slain in Dachau, and she miraculously escaped as a young child.

Former lovers, they resume their relationship (forgetting all about Heather!), but matters become convoluted when a terrorist group attacks Moscow, blurring the lines between the Nazis and the Jewish underground movement. The story builds up to a climatic ending that you simply won't want to miss.

It's a thrilling and thought-provoking tale that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout.
