There is a great deal of activity taking place within the pages of this book.

The main plot centers around international terrorist attacks perpetrated by The Wolf and The Weasel. This literally takes the readers on a journey around the world, resulting in a great deal of action. However, at the same time, I find this to be the book's drawback.

With the extensive cast of characters that make appearances in the book, it becomes challenging to keep track of the comings and goings. The characters who deserved more attention, like Sampson, are overshadowed by rather forgettable ones, such as the numerous doubles for The Wolf and his entourage of associates.

The Wolf is undoubtedly the most dynamic and resourceful antagonist in the series so far. This leads to some decent false endings and red herrings, although at times the plot regarding The Wolf's identity seems a bit far-fetched.

On a positive note, Alex's love life is being developed much better than in the first couple of novels. I like the theory that he is attracted to so many women because he has not come to terms with his wife's death and cannot move on until he solves her murder. I'm certain this would make for an excellent novel. The emotional burden of being an FBI agent has had a profound impact on Alex and his family/relationships, and I appreciate the tension. Overall, this is an exciting read, but I needed a break from the non-stop activity of the main storyline.

Good book series with a slightly disappointing ending

This is a really good two-books series that focuses on the wolf. The story is engaging and filled with interesting characters and adventures. The author does a great job of creating a vivid world and making the reader feel invested in the lives of the wolves. However, I have to admit that I was a little confused about the ending. It seemed a bit rushed and left some loose ends. I understand that the author may have wanted to leave some room for interpretation, but I would have liked a more conclusive ending.

Overall, I still think this is a great series and would recommend it to anyone who喜欢 stories about animals or adventure. The writing is excellent and the characters are memorable. Just be prepared for a bit of a letdown at the end.

I read this book simply because it happened to be in my collection. However, I find myself unable to recall anything about it whatsoever.

Perhaps the description of the book holds the key to this forgetfulness. To me, it sounds truly awful and bears no resemblance to any book that I would typically enjoy.

I highly doubt that I'll ever read it again. After all, the first reading experience was so completely unmemorable that it left no impression on me.

It's a pity really, as there are so many wonderful books out there that I would much rather spend my time with. This one just doesn't seem to have anything to offer that would make it worth another go.

Oh well, such is the nature of book collections. Sometimes you come across gems, and sometimes you find ones that are better left forgotten.

This is truly one of the finest books within the extensive Alex Cross series.

What makes it stand out is the presence of a plethora of bad guys, not all of whom are apprehended.

It adds an element of mystery and keeps the readers on the edge of their seats, wondering who will be caught and who will manage to elude justice.

In addition to the thrilling action and crime-solving, there is also a touch of romance.

However, this romance is intertwined with mostly danger and violence, which occurs on a much greater scale compared to the other books in the series.

The combination of these elements creates a captivating and engaging read that will satisfy fans of the Alex Cross series and lovers of crime fiction alike.

While I have truly relished the Alex Cross series,

this particular installment was not *quite* on par with some of the previous novels.

It does manage to bring together the villains that emerged in two prior books - the Weasel from "Pop Goes the Weasel" and the Wolf from "The Big Bad Wolf".

One would expect double the suspense, but unfortunately, it mainly just cranked up the gore and violence.

The book kicks off with the leveling of a small, rural town, and the baddies making outrageous demands for boatloads of money and the release of political prisoners, threatening to do the same to major cities like London, Washington, Frankfurt, and Paris.

There are also interludes featuring Alex and his kids, as well as his sometimes girlfriend Jamilla.

However, even in these sections, I felt that the interactions seemed rather stilted.

Nonetheless, it was a fast-paced read, and good enough that I will indeed be continuing with the series.

I'm hopeful that future installments will recapture the magic and excitement that made the earlier books in the series so captivating.

What I truly relished about this book was its unwavering pacing. Patterson's hallmark short chapters and rapidly advancing plot made it a real page-turner.

The tension escalated swiftly, and the magnitude of the crisis imparted an urgency to the story that held me captive from start to finish.

Nonetheless, although the action was intense and the twists continued to unfold, I couldn't help but feel that the villains, particularly Wolf, could have been explored more profoundly. Their motives and backstories seemed a touch hasty.

That being said, Alex Cross remains a captivating lead. His personal hardships infuse an emotional profundity that offsets the action, making the story a well-rounded and engaging read.✌️

I have an intense love for James Patterson's work. His books have always been a source of great excitement and entertainment for me. I have devoured every Alex Cross book that has come my way, reading them with great enthusiasm and speed.

However, this latest installment in the Alex Cross series has left me somewhat disappointed. I really wanted to get into it, I truly did. I gave it my best effort, but for some reason, I just couldn't seem to connect with the story or the characters.

It's a strange feeling, as I have always been such a huge fan of Patterson's writing. But perhaps this one just wasn't meant for me. Maybe I was expecting something different, or maybe my mood wasn't quite right.

Nevertheless, I will continue to be a fan of James Patterson and will look forward to his future works, hoping that the next one will be more to my liking.

Another great Cross book!

Just when I thought I knew who the Wolf was, things got twisted up and I had to guess again. It's truly amazing how Patterson can keep the readers on the edge of their seats with such unexpected plot twists.

Not to mention I think Patterson is setting us up for something bad to happen with Nana Mama. I have this uneasy feeling that something might go wrong with her.

I figure she's gonna live forever......so I hope not! I really don't want anything bad to happen to her. She's such an important character in the series and has brought so much warmth and wisdom.

I can't wait to see what Patterson has in store for us in the next installment of the Cross series.

London Bridges is the tenth book in the Alex Cross series. It is more or less a continuation of the previous book in this series called Big Bad Wolf.

The story begins with a group of terrorists who intend to unleash terror among the people. The leader of this group of terrorists is codenamed Wolf, which means a wolf.

At dawn or sunrise, Wolf's first action is to carry out his attacks. He then threatens some of the major cities of the countries with terrorist attacks and nuclear bomb explosions, and demands from the governments in return for not carrying out these attacks.

These attacks demand approximately two billion dollars from the threatened countries. The governments show no reaction to Wolf's demands, and this is where the first bridge in New York City is attacked, and then London and France.

Although the book was very engaging at the beginning, towards the end the story becomes a bit more complicated and did not meet my expectations as much. I must say that Wolf is identified on the last page of the book and commits suicide by poisoning himself without Alex Cross interrogating him. I think Alex Cross has failed to some extent.

Alex was even more astonishing in this book compared to others.

The narrator of the audiobook only seemed to vary the tone of his voice, yet failed to effectively convey the characters' emotions. Since I'm new to audiobooks, perhaps that wasn't his intention.

The Wolf strikes once more. He'll huff and puff and blow the house down, and indeed, he does so at one point. This fellow appears to have eyes and ears everywhere. Cross seems to be in the background for the first half of the story, merely tagging along.

This read was a bit less substantial than usual, with more flaws than a king-sized crocheted blanket.

Nevertheless, it's all fine because I enjoy fast-paced reads. For some reason, far-fetchedness is sometimes acceptable in thrillers/mysteries.

This read was resolved far too quickly and neatly after all the commotion.

On to the next.

This might be my favorite of the series so far.

It was incredibly thrilling, filled with intense moments that kept me on the edge of my seat.

The antagonist was a genius, masterminding devious plans that had me constantly guessing.

On Cross's side, there was the serious manpower of the FBI and others, working tirelessly to bring the criminal to justice.

The stakes were extremely high, with the fate of many hanging in the balance.

And the plot twists were simply insane! They came out of nowhere, completely shocking me and making the story even more engaging.

I couldn't put this book down, and I can't wait to see what happens next in the series.

This book is by James Patterson and is part of his series... But what a bad book it is.

So much happens (spoiler alert): thousands of people die in Paris within just 3 pages and that's all that is written about it. I think such a big attack is really important.

If he had spread this book over 3 or 4 books, I think it would have been my favorite series, because the subject is really quite hysterical. But really... I'm glad it's over.

However, it's not all bad. Patterson is still a talented writer and there are some interesting moments in the book.

For example, the characters are well-developed and the plot has some twists and turns that keep you engaged.

But overall, this book just didn't live up to my expectations. I was hoping for a more in-depth exploration of the events and the characters' reactions.

Maybe the next book in the series will be better. I'll give Patterson the benefit of the doubt and see what he comes up with.
