I'm not a big fan of detective novels. However, I read this book during a particular period. At that time, it was the only available novel at home, and ebooks had not been invented yet. The lack of other reading options led me to pick up this detective novel.

Surprisingly, the story was interesting enough to make me finish it. It had a captivating plot that kept me engaged from start to finish. The twists and turns in the narrative added an element of excitement and mystery.

Although I'm not usually drawn to detective novels, this one managed to hold my attention. It made me realize that sometimes, trying something new can lead to unexpected pleasures. Even if it's not a genre that I typically enjoy, a well-written story can still have the power to charm and entertain.

Serial killers have long been a topic of morbid fascination. Their heinous crimes and often twisted psyches draw the attention of the public and law enforcement alike. In this particular story, we have Alex, who seems to be developing a relationship with Jamilla.

It's unclear what exactly led to this budding connection. Perhaps there was an initial attraction that neither could resist. Maybe they met in an unexpected place or under unusual circumstances.

As their relationship progresses, one can't help but wonder if Jamilla is aware of Alex's true nature. Could she be blindly falling for someone who has committed unspeakable acts? Or is there something more complex at play here?

The story of Alex and Jamilla's relationship within the context of serial killers is a captivating one, filled with mystery, intrigue, and the potential for danger. Only time will tell where this path will lead them.

A psychologist is not a psychiatrist and lacks medical training. This is an important distinction that should be noted.

However, in this series, the timeline for death row executions seems extremely fast. It was the same in one of the very first installments as well.

There are just so many unrealistic plot devices being used. It makes one question the authenticity and believability of the story.

Perhaps the creators thought that these elements would add excitement and drama, but in reality, they end up detracting from the overall quality of the series.

It would have been better if they had focused on more realistic and plausible storylines that didn't rely so much on these kinds of gimmicks.

Overall, the use of these unrealistic plot devices and the overly fast timeline for death row executions are significant flaws in this series.

Definitely one of my favorite Alex Cross books!

I could not put this one down. From the very beginning, the story grabs your attention and doesn't let go.

The plot is full of twists and turns, keeping you on the edge of your seat the entire time.

The characters are well-developed and believable, making you really care about what happens to them.

James Patterson does an amazing job of creating a thrilling and engaging story that will keep you entertained from start to finish.

If you're a fan of mystery and thriller novels, then you definitely need to check out this book!

After reading two rather long, complex, and quite challenging novels, I made up my mind to switch to a pleasant and easy read to rejuvenate my reading spirit once more.

I have devoured all of the Alex Cross series up to this particular one. While most of them were enjoyable, they weren't precisely masterpieces in terms of writing. However, this installment failed to meet my expectations, and I truly hope it doesn't signify an emerging trend.

The most captivating Alex Cross novels are those where he contends with a criminal mastermind of some sort. In this one, unfortunately, the villains (revealed very early on) are nothing more than mere thugs. These brutes were trained as elite soldier/assassins during the Vietnam War but are now in the employ of someone else, the fourth "Blind Mouse". The plot was severely hampered by Cross's persistent longing to give up his current job and join the FBI, as well as by romantic interludes that seemed to extend far beyond their story value. Other family issues and Cross's overly forceful introspection made many sections of the novel feel like attempting to run through molasses.

Nevertheless, these books do possess a certain quality that keeps you turning the pages. So, I suppose I will eventually read more in this series. I'm curious to see how things unfold when Cross begins working for the FBI. But I'll wait until I'm in need of another "fast food" convenient read rather than indulging in a "steak and lobster" novel.

I truly enjoyed this installment in the series.

This time around, Alex Cross finds himself in the midst of a complex and dangerous case. The murders he is investigating involve the U.S. military and have ties to past events in Vietnam.

As always, James Patterson delivers a story that is both engaging and easy to read. His writing style is fast-paced, keeping the reader on the edge of their seat from start to finish.

I am now eager to move on to the next installment in the series. I can't wait to see what new challenges and adventures Alex Cross will face.

Happy reading!

This one was extremely difficult to get through. It presented numerous challenges and obstacles that seemed insurmountable at times.

The process was arduous and required a great deal of perseverance and determination. There were moments when I felt like giving up, but I refused to let the difficulties overcome me.

I pushed myself to keep going, to find solutions, and to break through the barriers. It wasn't easy, but I knew that if I could just get through this one, it would be a major accomplishment.

In the end, I managed to persevere and come out on the other side. It was a great feeling of relief and satisfaction, knowing that I had overcome such a difficult task. This experience has taught me the importance of never giving up and always believing in myself, no matter how hard the going gets.

All the Cross books are truly phenomenal.

This particular one manages to blend war, violence, suspense, and mystery in an extremely skillful manner.

It has me constantly pondering the question of whether there are actually any detectives in our real world who can rival the great Alex Cross.

Alex Cross is such a remarkable and talented detective in the books, with his sharp intellect, keen观察力, and unwavering determination.

The way he solves cases and deals with the most complex and dangerous situations is truly awe-inspiring.

I find myself hoping that there are indeed detectives out there who possess similar qualities and abilities.

It would be reassuring to know that there are people in the world dedicated to fighting crime and bringing justice to those who have been wronged.

Even though the world of Alex Cross is fictional, it gives us a glimmer of hope and shows us what is possible when someone has the courage and skill to take on the toughest challenges.

I hope there are.

Three bad men, perhaps even four bad men. They were a menacing sight indeed.

See how they run, see how they run. Their footsteps pounded on the ground, filled with a malicious intent.

They all ran after the innocent with a Ka-bar knife in hand. The寒光 of the knives glinted in the dim light, sending shivers down one's spine.

Each of them sliced and diced with all their might. Their actions were brutal and merciless, as if they took pleasure in the pain and suffering they were causing.

They cut their victims open as if they were a butcher’s delight. The blood spilled, staining the ground red.

Honestly, did you ever see such a sight? It was a scene straight out of a horror movie.

As three blind mice, they seemed to have no sense of right or wrong, only a thirst for violence.

Wow! This was a breathtaking read that left me only wanting more! The vivid descriptions and intense atmosphere made it impossible to put down. Hands down 5 stars for this gem!❤️

These books are just like soap operas.

On one hand, they may not possess outstanding qualities or profound meanings. They might lack the depth and complexity that some other literary works have.

However, on the other hand, there is something about them that keeps pulling you back for more. It could be the engaging storylines that are full of twists and turns, or the characters that you gradually develop an attachment to.

Despite their flaws, these books have a certain charm that makes it difficult for readers to resist. You find yourself continuously picking them up, eager to know what will happen next, even though you are aware that they may not be the best in terms of literary value.

It's almost like a guilty pleasure, where you can't help but be drawn in by the allure of these books, much like how people get addicted to soap operas.

This could potentially be my all-time favorite Alex Cross novel.

The story unfolds at a brisk pace, with the actual murders and the identities of those behind them being extremely complex. Cross, who is on the verge of retirement, is persuaded by Sampson to look into a murder case where his friend, Sergeant Ellis Cooper, stands accused.

The murders are brutally violent and follow a certain pattern, yet it seems that the army is trying to cover up something. Meanwhile, the relationship between Cross and Jamilla Hughes also begins to heat up.

I firmly believe that this book is exceptionally well-written and masterfully paced. I have always relished the moments when we get to see the killers and the heinous acts they are committing while Cross is in hot pursuit. It keeps me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire reading experience.

Overall, it's a thrilling and engaging novel that I would highly recommend to any fan of the Alex Cross series or mystery novels in general.

I think after all of the Alex Cross Series I have read, this tops them ALL!!!

Which in all reality, they are all SUPERB.

The stories in this series are so engaging and full of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat.

This particular installment is no exception.

It has a great plot, well-developed characters, and a writing style that is both captivating and easy to read.

What a Great Read!

I wouldn't be surprised if it is partially True.

The author has a way of making the story seem so real that you can't help but wonder if some of it actually happened.

Overall, I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery or thriller.

It is definitely one of the best in the genre.
