Max is the worst pick me girl I've ever seen.

She always seems to go out of her way to get the attention of guys, no matter what it takes.

She'll say and do things that are completely out of character just to get a guy to notice her.

It's really annoying to watch because she's so obvious about it.

She doesn't seem to understand that being herself is the best way to attract someone, not by trying to be someone she's not.

It's like she's constantly competing with other girls to see who can get the most male attention.

It's a really unattractive quality and it makes me not want to be around her.

I hope she realizes that she doesn't have to act like this to be liked and that being true to herself is much more important.

Maybe then she'll be able to form real and meaningful relationships instead of just chasing after guys who are only interested in her because of her desperate behavior.

Maximum Ride = Marvelous Reading

As the leader of her Flock, Max is an incredibly tough and resilient character. This remarkable bird girl never gives up on her crucial mission to save the world and safeguard her Flock. She accomplishes all of this with great flair and a sarcastic edge that makes her even more endearing. Despite facing numerous betrayals and having grown up in a laboratory environment, Max still manages to show that she has a soft side too. This complexity makes her a truly captivating protagonist.

The members of Max’s Flock are also extremely tight-knit, and each one of them possesses unique talents. Fang has the ability to disappear if he remains still for a long enough period. Iggy perceives everything in white, which gives him a distinct perspective on the world. Nudge is magnetic, adding an interesting dynamic to the group. The Gasman is an explosives expert, bringing a sense of danger and excitement. And Angel can read and control minds, making her a powerful asset. Together, this group of bird kids forms an amazing and unforgettable team.

I first read Fang when it was initially released, not realizing at the time that it was part of a series. I know, it was a bit of an oversight on my part. However, when I heard about Angel, I decided to read the entire series from the beginning so that I could fully experience the story. And that's exactly what I did last week. I devoured the whole series in one go!

Angel is a bit different from the earlier books in the series. It is less action-packed and more focused on the emotional aspects, with a touch of a romance-like element. As a girl, I really enjoyed seeing this side of Max. It added a new layer to her character and made her even more relatable. Angel also sets the stage for the final challenge that will be included in the eighth book, which is set to be released next year. I'm seriously impatient and can't wait a whole year to find out what happens! Oh, and of course, I'm eager to see more of Fang. His mysterious and brooding nature always keeps me on the edge of my seat.

James Patterson is truly a genius when it comes to writing. He has crafted a unique series that tackles some serious issues in a thrilling and engaging way. The Maximum Ride series should definitely be on your bookshelf. If you're anything like me, you'll find it impossible to put these books down once you start reading. I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves adventure, mystery, and a touch of the supernatural. It's a must-read!

The book was truly very interesting.

There were certain parts within it that were really cool and exciting, captivating my attention instantly.

However, on the other hand, there were also other parts of the book that felt rather bland and boring to read.

I found myself wishing that I had wings, perhaps a bit of a random thought.

Maybe I should drink some Red Bull to boost my energy and get through those less engaging sections.

Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who has a liking for this particular book series and action fiction in general.

It has its ups and downs, but for those who enjoy the genre, it's definitely worth a read.

This was an amazing book.

It was truly outstanding and captivating from start to finish. The story was filled with interesting characters and a plot that kept me on the edge of my seat.

The author's writing style was engaging and made it easy for me to get lost in the world of the book.

Every page was filled with excitement and anticipation, and I couldn't wait to see what would happen next.

It was one of those rare books that I didn't want to end.

Even after I finished reading it, I found myself thinking about the story and the characters for days.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good read.

It's definitely a must-read and will leave you with a lasting impression.

Overall, it was an excellent book that I thoroughly enjoyed and would read again in a heartbeat.

James Patterson's "Maximum Ride: School's Out Forever" delved deep into the significance of family. Patterson's novel vividly demonstrated that a family can be constructed by anyone. As long as the individuals involved care deeply about one another and remain steadfast through any and all circumstances. Max, the central character, grappled with the arduous task of balancing the responsibilities of taking care of her friends, saving the world, and defeating the man who raised her. Without her friends, who had become her family, Max would have been unable to achieve any of her goals. Everyone in the novel believed that Max was the solution, the answer to all their problems. But in reality, she could only fulfill her destiny with the help and support of her friends. Patterson was attempting to convey that a family can emerge from anywhere. It isn't solely confined to a sister, mother, or father. Instead, it is composed of those who love you. Patterson's book disclosed his belief that good will always prevail over evil, regardless of the odds. No matter how much the good may deny their destiny to assist the world, they will ultimately come around. "Maximum Ride: School's Out Forever" made me realize just how crucial family and friends are in a person's life. No matter how strong an individual may be, at some point, they will break down, and it is the family and friends who will catch them. They are the ones who make you laugh when you're on the verge of crying and the ones who will stay by your side through thick and thin, even when the odds are stacked against you. I had always known that family and friends were an important part of life, but Patterson's book truly made me understand the profound importance of friends and family in life.

I would highly recommend this book as it encompasses a wide range of themes, including action, romance, and a touch of mystery. This book is extremely engaging; it captures and retains the attention of its readers. As the journey progresses, you begin to experience exactly what Max feels, and it feels as if you are having a conversation with her. Additionally, this book is excellent for those who don't typically enjoy reading because it consists of short, 2 - 3 page chapters. With approximately 140 chapters, the book seems to pass by quickly. However, by the time you reach the fifth chapter, the chapters blend together, and you have embarked on this remarkable adventure with Max and her friends to save the world.

Max and her flock persistently manage to foil the Institute and the Erasers' attempts to bring them back.

They journey to the D.C. area and are welcomed by Anne, who allegedly works with the FBI. Anne provides a home for them and enrolls them in school. However, Gazzy and Iggy's mischievous behavior lands them all in trouble. Iggy has a brief reunion with his real parents, but when they attempt to turn him into a sideshow freak, he reunites with the flock.

The Erasers target the kids once more while they are staying with Anne, and the Voice in Max's head keeps urging her to save the world. After numerous more scrapes and escapes, the kids end up in Florida. There, Max is kidnapped and replaced by an identical Max. This new Max is supposed to take over, but the original Max breaks out of her sensory deprivation tank and saves the flock (again). They all hide in the Everglades, presumably until the next book.

This installment in the Maximum Ride series is yet another disappointment. The series prioritizes action over character and plot development, resulting in a story that seems hastily assembled and poorly thought out or researched. The author appears to be more concerned with keeping the pace fast at the expense of everything else.

There are moments when it would have been beneficial to see things from a different perspective. For instance, when Iggy is with his family, perhaps it would have been a good idea to build up to his daring escape rather than having him simply show up later and explain that it didn't work out. If you're going to put your characters in certain situations, the least you can do is make them last long enough for readers to care about what happens.

One minor concern I had was with a (filler) scene where the bird kids are flying with a "flock" of broad-winged hawks. There are approximately twelve hawks flying with them, and they call out as the kids leave their "territory." In general, birds of prey do not flock together. These specific hawks only flock during migration, so they wouldn't be patrolling a territory as Patterson describes. Limited food and nesting resources also restrict the number of hawks that can comfortably occupy a territory.

I understand that this is a small detail, but it is just one example of a larger problem. Details matter, and character development matters. The action alone is not enough for me. I can't get excited about characters I don't care about. There's no point in subjecting them to the same things repeatedly. They can't figure out why they're constantly being attacked, and neither do we, as readers.

It seems as if James Patterson is churning out these books as quickly as possible without taking the time to truly craft a well-written story. He's recycling dialogue, images, and plot devices to fill pages and maintain a rapid pace, but he's not making it worthwhile for me. I really don't appreciate shoddy craftsmanship that attempts to pass itself off as quality literature. It's particularly offensive if he believes he can get away with this because he's writing for kids. I don't recall what his adult books are like, so I can't compare them. I only hope they're better.

I listened to the audiobook once more for the second novel in this series.

Surprisingly, despite the numerous flaws in the story, there is an inexplicable allure that compels one to keep listening.

The writing style is extremely juvenile and the plot is highly predictable.

There is no hint of subtlety in depicting the emotions that each character is experiencing.

Nevertheless, I persisted.

I believe that the main, if not the only, factor that kept me engaged was the central concept of the novel.

The idea of a group of humans endowed with wings is truly spine-tingling.

I was completely captivated by the flying scenes.

The vivid descriptions made my eyes widen with wonder and filled me with envy for those magnificent wings.

I "suppose" I will carry on with the series, but in all honesty, the only aspect that holds my interest is their wings.

I feel like you learn a lot about yourself when you reread books you were obsessed with as a child.

As you turn the pages of those familiar stories, memories come flooding back. You remember the emotions you felt, the characters you idolized, and the lessons you thought you had learned.

Rereading these books allows you to see how you have changed and grown. You may notice that your perspective on certain events or characters has shifted. What once seemed important may no longer hold the same significance, and vice versa.

It's also a chance to rediscover the magic and wonder that first drew you to these books. You can appreciate the beautiful language, the vivid illustrations, and the imaginative worlds that the authors created.

In a way, rereading childhood favorites is like taking a journey back in time. It's a reminder of who you were and how far you've come. It can also give you a newfound appreciation for the power of literature and its ability to touch our lives.

OH.
MY.

FLUBBERDUBBERBUBBLEBOTTOM.

(*moment of silence for amazing book passing through*)

(*AHEM) So it's about time I finished this freaking book. I started it right after I finished the first book of this butt-kicking series and I can't believe I didn't finish it before.

Guys. I promised to make proper reviews, carefully reading each word as if I was Gordon Ramsay trying out food from various chefs and telling them "DELICIOUS".
This book. Was. Delicious.
(Not that I ate it physically BUT I WOULD BECAUSE IT WAS SO AWESOME.)

Like I said earlier in a status, MAX IS THE KIND OF CHARACTER I WOULD WANT TO MEET AND INTERVIEW IN REAL LIFE.
I wanna ride on her back when she flies.
I wanna hear her stories about being chased and hunted down by erasers.
I WANNA BE FREAKING TRAINED BY HER SO I CAN BE A KICK-BUTT HEROINE TOO!

She made me laugh.
*ahem* Mr. Patterson made me laugh.

This book was broken into many many many little fragments of chapters. I love that.
I. LOVE. That.
It's fast paced, it's quick, yet it's full of action and had me kicking my feet violently in the air while I was trying to read. (I was laying on my stomach.)

Not to mention all the jokes that made me just sit there and either smirk, laugh aloud so loud that I could wake up the entire neighborhood, or record it in my statuses on Goodreads so I can REMEMBER the moments of happiness this freaking thing gave me.

Every character has a heart to them. EVERY CHARACTER HAS THE CAPABILITY OF BEING A REAL PERSON.
They were so real..... I wished they would come to life.
THAT MEANS THE CHARACTERIZATION WAS SPOT ON.

Someone can watch a movie about this, or an anime or whatever, and say "My favorite character is (*fill in the blank*). We're not forced to choice the main main main character/leader because Max isn't the only character this book focuses on.
We get to know all of them.

Like when something happens to one of them (*YOU FELLOW REVIEW READERS WHO HAVE READ THIS KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT) they all fall apart and it touches all their hearts.

I love these characters. I REMEMBER ALL OF THEIR NAMES.
I love how Max and Fang got each other jealous.
I love how Iggy can freaking see everything even though he's blind like Toph from Avatar.
I love how Angel is that adorable-yet-probably-going-to-be-scary thrill.
And how reckless Gazzy can be. How Nudge reminds me of myself.

THE WRITING? Fabulous. Absolutely fabulous.
Leaving every freaking chapter with an amazing transition to the next. Patterson's way of making me have to keep reading and when I finish the last chapter I HAVE to buy his next book and keep reading.
Like some sort of drug addiction.
EXCEPT BETTER.

Oh gosh, when was the last time I wrote a 5 star review like this? I'M FREAKING OUT.

The action. The originality in these mutant bird freaks and their psychological characteristics because of their differences with normal humans. The thrill. The freaking suspense in everything that happens.
Angel? Max and Fang? Ari? I WANNA KNOW IT ALL.

This series was well thought out. Well planned. Beautifully crafted. LIKE ARTWORK.

Every hour spent reading this freaking book is worth it.
Every hour spent reading the rest of the series, WORTH IT.
WORTH EVERY MINUTE.

This book. Fantastic.
FAN-TASTIC.

This is one of the more memorable Maximum Ride books.

I have a great passion for seeing them go to school and attempt to lead normal lives.

In a lot of these books, they just sort of blend into one another. However, this particular one and Fang are really distinct for me.

The story in this book takes an interesting turn when the characters step into the school environment. It's fascinating to observe how they try to adapt to the norms and routines of a regular school, despite their extraordinary abilities and backgrounds.

The contrast between their normal school lives and their adventures as a flock adds an extra layer of excitement and depth to the plot.

Overall, this book stands out among the others in the series, leaving a lasting impression on me with its unique storyline and well-developed characters.

Still missing that all important feeling of purpose to the story.

However, otherwise it felt more satisfying as a read than the first one.

The girl is named Ride, and it's quite fitting.

Because it all seems like a ride where the start and destination are kind of vague and blurry.

You never quite know where it's going or how it will end.

But if you have the need for speed and love the paranoia in the air, this might seem like a fun read to you.

It's a wild journey that keeps you on the edge of your seat, not knowing what will happen next.

The story has its flaws, but it also has its charm.

It's a unique and exciting read that will appeal to those who like a bit of mystery and adventure.

So if you're looking for something different, give this story a try.

You might just be surprised by how much you enjoy it.

The story seems to be rather drawn out. There are quite a number of fights, but unfortunately, there isn't a significant amount of forward movement based on the information they have gathered.

It feels as if the plot is somewhat stagnant, with the characters getting into numerous altercations yet not really progressing in terms of uncovering new and crucial details or advancing the overall narrative.

The lack of substantial development makes it a bit of a letdown, as one would expect more from the story given the build-up and the various conflicts that have occurred.

It remains to be seen if there will be a significant turn of events in the future to salvage the situation and bring the story to a more satisfying conclusion.
