This book was truly phenomenal!

It was recommended to me by a dear friend, and I had been hearing about it for a long time. Finally, I decided to take the plunge and start reading.

Honestly, from the moment I began, I couldn't put it down. Even though it is a work of fiction, it had an uncanny ability to feel so relevant and applicable to our world today. It was like a total shift in perspective, opening my eyes to new ways of thinking and seeing things.

This book has had a profound impact on me. It has helped me change my perspective on synchronicities, flow, energy, and the universe as a whole. There is so much useful and thought-provoking information within its pages that can be applied to our daily lives.

I absolutely loved this book and I wholeheartedly hope that more people will discover it and use it as a source of inspiration. It has the power to transform lives and I can't wait to see the positive changes it brings to others.

The only reason I possess this piece of idiotic dreck is that QPBC dispatched it to me as the book of the month, and I wasn't swift enough in sending it back - is that okay?

I just had to make that abundantly clear. In fact, I do have a functioning brain, and it is evident that this book is targeted at those who lack one.

It's truly baffling how such a thing could be considered worthy of being a monthly selection. The content seems to be a jumble of nonsensical ideas and poorly constructed sentences.

I can't help but wonder what the criteria were for choosing this book. Maybe it was a case of misjudgment or perhaps there was some other ulterior motive.

Whatever the reason, I'm stuck with this piece of junk for now, but I'll be sure to voice my dissatisfaction to QPBC.

I hope they'll be more discerning in their future selections and not subject their subscribers to such subpar literature.

De Celestijnse Belofte

This is just a mess. The dialogues seem to be written by an 8-year-old having a bad day. The story has absolutely nothing to it. And then there's that so-called inspiring message that is supposed to come out of the book... Pure New Age nonsense.

I gave it 1 star because I couldn't give it 0. This book fails to engage the reader with its poorly written dialogues and lackluster story. The supposed inspiring message comes across as forced and unconvincing. It's a disappointment for those who were expecting a thought-provoking and well-written piece. The author really needs to work on improving their writing skills and coming up with a more interesting and meaningful plot. Overall, this book is not worth the time or money.

A modern, areligious parable, The Celestine Prophecy presents instruction and guidance on the journey towards spiritual fulfillment and enlightenment, all thinly veiled within the guise of an adventure story.

The cover story is clearly just a means to convey the insights, yet it can be entertaining. For the most part, the insights themselves are useful and applicable to daily life. However, there are three areas that I find difficult to accept. The predictions of the ninth insight are highly utopian and potentially fanciful, but this is perhaps inevitable as the author must finally make a real prediction about the future of humanity, rather than simply presenting historical analysis and interpretation in prophetic language. Additionally, some of the abilities associated with attaining two of the other insights seem rather far-fetched.

The writing itself is rather bland and extremely accessible, likely at a fourth grade reading level. This means it can reach a wide range of readers, but it does little to inspire linguistically. I can recall only two brief moments in the book where I was truly impressed with the writing. On the other hand, there is nothing truly terrible about the author's craftsmanship either. His words serve their main purpose adequately, and that is all.

In conclusion, read this book for the spiritual insights and code of conduct it offers. Do not expect a transcendent literary experience, as it cannot provide that. However, do take in and truly consider the significance of the book's lessons, even metaphorically. And do attempt to apply them to your life, as they are worthwhile and, I believe, have the potential to drastically improve the world.

I remember vividly when this book was all the rage.

It was as if it was revealing some profound and hitherto unknown truth to the masses, as if it was the absolute reality! But in truth, it was nothing but a giant hoax, wasn't it?

The movie adaptation was also some god-awful Lifetime movie-ish crap, wasn't it?

This kind of book strongly reminds me of The Secret by Rhonda Byrnes. They both have rather hokey, new-agey philosophies that carry a cultish vibe.

Of course, technically speaking, this isn't a self-help book, yet a significant number of people treated it as such.

In the final analysis, the things that Redfield describes in his book are merely an amalgamation of various religious thoughts that have been expounded upon elsewhere.

And if one were truly interested and cared to explore them, they could find these ideas presented in a better and more in-depth fashion.

However, we witness this phenomenon from time to time.

People are desperate to latch onto something to believe in, to discover 'the way', despite the fact that there are countless'million ways' that can assist people in moving forward and coping with the journey of life, especially when it comes to matters of spirituality.

I have no issue with the philosophies presented in this book. However, I didn't sense that any of the content had the power to truly change one's life. To be honest, I found the fictional narrative to be rather poor.

The tenet that coincidences hold meaning is somewhat plausible. But it is employed as a mcguffin to propel the story forward. In the story, every person the protagonist encounters just so happens to have the perfect message and teachings to impart. And the recurring characters manage to meet up through intuition and daydreams.

Intended as a parable, it quickly becomes tiresome.

If you are seeking spiritual guidance, this book might be worth a look. Nevertheless, there are likely better works available elsewhere.

It's important to note that everyone's perception of a book can vary greatly. What one person may find unappealing, another might discover profound and enlightening. So, it's always advisable to explore a variety of sources when in search of spiritual or intellectual nourishment.

Perhaps you'll come across a book that not only aligns with your beliefs and values but also has the ability to transform your perspective and inspire positive change in your life.

I read this book many moons ago and I just absolutely loved it.

It had such a profound impact on me that it really made me think deeply.

This is one of the main reasons why I have such a great passion for reading.

When I pick up a good book, it's like embarking on a journey of discovery and self-reflection.

This particular book was no exception.

It took me to places I had never been before, both in my imagination and in my mind.

The story was engaging, the characters were well-developed, and the writing was superb.

It was a truly unforgettable reading experience that I will cherish for a long time.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to read and wants to be inspired and challenged.

It's a book that will make you think, make you feel, and make you a better person.

I found this battered copy at my local second-hand store, and it's often a good sign.

If a book, especially a pocket-sized one, is battered, that often means it was well beloved by the owner before.

However, sadly, it was a big miss for me.

The story just felt like complete nonsense and not an exciting read at all.

I had high hopes when I picked it up, thinking that the wear and tear on the book might indicate a great adventure within its pages.

But as I started reading, I quickly realized that it wasn't for me.

The plot was convoluted and didn't make much sense, and the characters were one-dimensional and uninteresting.

Despite its appearance, this book failed to capture my attention and imagination.

Oh well, you can't win them all when it comes to second-hand book shopping.

Really an excellent book!

It is definitely mystical yet highly helpful. It bears a resemblance to the Da Vinci Code in that you accompany the main character on this quest. However, instead of seeking some external religious artifact or truth, this quest is an internal one, focused on uncovering something about oneself. The way it is written allows you to embark on this journey with the main character, and his quest becomes yours.

I have realized that this can hold true for almost anything. All of our perceptions have the potential to become our autobiographies. This is also why I think I have such a deep love for Harry Potter. When I read it with awareness, I can observe and discover lessons that are applicable to my own journey, and that journey is quite an exciting one - a bit more thrilling than Celestine ;0).

So, what is this book about? It delves into nine insights that our society is expected to encounter or learn in our current century to assist in our global awakening and awareness. As the ninth insight suggests, our society will then become one of spirituality and peace, creating a heaven on earth. Once again, it is fictional and mystical, but the ideas are sound and reasonable. Of course, the truths and the method that the character discovers (or that the author deems appropriate) may not be suitable for every reader (I know this is rather obvious, but I found myself literally devouring every word!). It is beneficial to remind oneself while reading that we all have our own unique process, which is perfect in and of itself. Happy reading!

You die more American!!! Generally, I don't think I'm a person with prejudices and I have read quite a few books in the past, as well as done inner exploration or various religions, etc. However, I had never read such a fairy tale before. It really reminded me of the American action movies where the bad guys will cause chaos but in the end the good American will win. Exactly, that's what this particular book is like. It seemed far-fetched to me and although it has ideas that are worth discussing, the way they are described becomes tiring and rather dull. I read it with a lot of effort....and I don't want to hear about it again!

This book seems to follow a rather predictable pattern, much like the typical American action movie plot. The story might have some interesting concepts at its core, but the execution fails to engage the reader fully. The way the events are described and the characters are developed lacks depth and originality. It feels as if the author is trying too hard to fit into a certain mold, rather than presenting a unique and captivating narrative.

Perhaps if the author had taken a different approach, the book could have been more enjoyable. For example, instead of relying on tired clichés, they could have explored the themes in a more nuanced and thought-provoking way. Additionally, the writing style could have been more生动活泼 and engaging, rather than coming across as dry and uninteresting. Overall, this book was a disappointment for me and I would not recommend it to others.

The concept of the book initially sounded truly fascinating. I was particularly drawn to the fact that it was cleverly woven around an adventure story. After delving into the first chapter, I found myself completely hooked and filled with optimism for a truly good and enlightening read.

However, as I continued to progress through the book, I gradually became frustrated with what I perceived as a rather overblown writing style. Before long, the book had transformed from a source of pleasure into a burden to read.

Although I did think that it encompassed a number of interesting ideas, I firmly believe that the subject matter would have been better explored in a more traditional textbook style. The story format, in my opinion, felt a little false and actually impeded the learning points rather than enhancing them.

Moreover, for a self-help book to effectively work in a story format, it is essential that the characters are ones that readers can truly care about. Unfortunately, I did not feel that this was the case with this particular book.
