I have an intense love for The Celestine Prophecy, which is precisely why I felt compelled to obtain this particular book. Back in 2006, I made an attempt to read it, but unfortunately, I couldn't manage to get through the entire thing. Just this past month, I decided to give it another shot. I've now reached a point where I'm down to approximately the last 50 pages or so. However, I've once again set it aside in preference for several other books that have been recommended to me. This book simply doesn't have the same hold on me as The Celestine Prophecy did. It gives the impression of being somewhat forced and perhaps a little too far-fetched for my taste. When I put it down, I don't walk away with a sense of being "enlightened" or feeling a strong connection to it. It lacks that certain something that made The Celestine Prophecy so captivating and engaging for me. Maybe I'll pick it up again at some point and finish it, but for now, I'm more interested in exploring those other recommended books.
